-Had 6s 2 weeks ago
-Dropped it, screen cracked
-Thought I could handle it, 100$ to replace
-T mobile had a deal for trade ins, paid 200$ plus my old broken 6s for an 8

Not getting X, pretty pointless when it will need maturing and the 8 has same hardware almost....

No, thanks, no crApple for me. Sticking with J5 (J510FN) until the LibreM phone becomes reality.

Yep. Look at any drop test from the phones from the past year - two with wireless charging. They all break from 4ft + on concrete. The iPhone X with stainless steel bezels are proven to be more durable than any other phone, though. Side drops will yield less damage on the iphone.

-The back can be protected by normal case, like dat leather one. The front is where you need a glass protectors. But it's not more fragile then other phone out there, so it's not a big deal

1) I obsessively check my phone for notifications (investment stuff, texts, emails, etc). Having the apple watch helps put my mind at ease. Yes it's unhealthy and it's probably an addiction to check my phone so much but the watch is helping tone it down, significantly
2) heart rate tracking is where the 10/10 is at. the apple watch is the most accurate wrist based heart rate monitor currently and I'm doing cardio based on heart rate. I've always wanted to but never found chest straps comfortable (lat genetics cause it to slide down ). I'll do semi-hit cardio where I'll do heart rate 100 -> 180 -> 100, etc and the watch makes it really easy. Also I swim and the main swim app in the app store is great for keeping track of distance and laps for me. When I swim a mile, I loose count at 30+ laps and end up doing more/less but the watch keeps it consistent so I can consistently swim the same laps and focus on bringing the time down.
- changing songs without going to my phone is nice
- logging my workout through a workout app without going on my phone is nice
- quick texts back using siri without using my phone is nice
- I don't care for the gps either
- battery life is ~75% after a single day of usage (larger non-LTE series 3) including a 2 hour workout
- 50% after 2 days without using it overnight

overall the experience is 10/10 based on what I want out of it. Truth be told half the reason I switched back from android to iOS is for the watch

Android software feels slow and clunky, still stuck in the 90's. Cracks me up to see fanboys defending it despite being inferior hahahah

Android user here, but lol at people not realizing the differences between the 7 and 8/X. That A11 processor blows away the A10 and anything from Qualcomm or Exynos, which greatly helps with the processing of the cameras, battery life and that overall iOS 'smoothness.'

I'm considering the switch to an 8 plus (same internals as X except front camera/sensors) because I don't really like the new 2:1 ratio that all major Android phones and the X are gravitating towards.

Yes.

Police cannot force you to provide a password, they can force physical interaction with the device that would unlock it.

I thought I would miss the home button, but I don’t. Face ID is pretty nice too, but I wish they would’ve found a way to incorporate Touch ID into the side power button......

iPhone X master race checking in

Love it so far. Pictures are awesome, the faceID has grown on me as well. I don’t miss the home button either as sliding up and down and stuff feels more intuitive than i thought it would.

I only think it’s a pain to switch between and close apps. Takes a bit longer than it did with a home button.

It also takes awhile to charge the darn thing, but i charge it in the morning and again at night, so it gets me through the day easily.

The notch doesn’t bug me at all, i kind of like how the time, battery, and service info are all tucked away up there.

And I don’t get the hate about how easy it is to break. Put a fckn case on it.

Spotify doesn't have an apple watch app. I emailed them back and forth and the best I could get out of them was "we're working on it" but no estimated launch time. Considering apple watches have been out for a long time, I see no reason why they'l ever release one.

There's a previous | play/pause | next and volume app/menu when music plays but you cannot actually navigate through spotify (playlists, albums, etc). That's good enough for me because I just go to my gym playlist or snowboarding playlist and play on shuffle. Then use my watch to go next, repeat, etc.

I may switch to apple music though for the full browsing functionality. Apple music has it all from what i read (didn't test it out)

Them not having spotify is the main reason why I just can't take the leap and get the Apple watch, just yet

- Especially since I would be using the apple watch mainly for lifting and do cardio

Ended up picking up the 8+ 256GB instead of the X. Didn't want to wait a month for the X.

Will 100% upgrade to the X+ when it comes out though

Me too. Reports says 3 phones coming out in 2018. One got same size as X, another is a Plus size(but LCD, not OLED), and a more bigger sized OLED.
