Finally downloaded IOS 11 and the app. I really don't think I trust that it doesn't make people look far worse without makeup than they actually do without makeup if it can't even tell when someone's not wearing any makeup in the first place. I'm uploading bare faced pics of me and it's making me look disgusting. It's giving me yellow rings around my eyes and getting rid of my eyelashes lol. Needs work, but it has potential.

Do you really think the app "removes makeup"?

It's basically a filter that accentuates some things a lot of the results look very close to reality though as most of the makeup is foundation of cover blemishes so if you accentuate those it uncovers some of what the foundation covered.

No I know it doesn't literally "remove" makeup, but I think the filter exaggerates how bad most of these women actually look without it. I don't think it's accurate enough to be able to say, "This is what _____ looks like without makeup"

I also noticed this app doesn't take as much off if you have good lighting or your pic has filters.

If you take a bad straight on selfie where you can see a hint of undertones, it'll just assume your face is pink and meth looking

It's not taking much off my good pictures with good lighting, they look pretty much the same. But taking pictures straight on in a bright room it is making me look like I don't have eyelashes and I have pink meth skin lol

They're not accurate but it does do a decent job of displaying how drastic makeup vs no makeup makes most females look.

Okay yes. That's true and obvious. But it sounds like lots of people are using the app to actually see what certain women in particular look like without makeup, which isn't a very good or accurate way to do so.

The only way to "test" it is to take a two photos, one with and one without make up and then compare with the results of the app.

Let's be honest though, the after is more accurate of how a woman looks without makeup compared to them WITH makeup.
