Sun is setting in tbat nice Orange juice shade that you once saw as a young kid with thr whole world ahead of you. I look at my wife. Not the most sexually pleasing but she's mine. I look at her with eyes of security but longing for something else. We have kids that I love 3 but aren't my happiness. They are just my creations I should sacrifice my self for because I hate my self that much. And we are making food or baking.
Haaha... Yeah I'm high but really though... life sort of isn't meant for everyone to win.

Only real goal is to hit 50 countries before I die. I'm at 44 so far. Other than that, just have as much fun with friends/family as possible. Then die

Long term I've got a list of 100 things I'd like to do before I die (and I had it before that stupid Bucket List movie came out - so it's not a bucket list until they pay me a commission).

I've done about 40 of them so far, looking forward to working at that. Really though it's not like I'd cross #100 off and think "there, I did it", it's more a thought exercise of what's some rad chit that I want to be able to look back on.

Short term, the goal is to become either self employed or develop a skillset that will let me work from anywhere - gonna be a HUGE boost to quality of life.

GOOD thread bros, let's get it.

Top 3 are Japan, Iceland and New Zealand (naturally beautiful countries and sushi). If I had to pick a worst, I'd probably say Puerto Rico or Belgium. Not terrible places but I didn't enjoy them as much as every other place I've visited.

Fawk... Japan Iceland and Australia are the top three left on my list! Thanks for the motivation brah, srs.

Agreed, no travel is bad, just places you're not as eager to return to.

EDIT: my top so far is Ireland, least favorite is the Caribbean. I liked the Caribbean but not as wild about it as some people. Plus I live in Florida so it's not very different from my day to day. Ireland tho.... Oh man.

Its not an endgame but my biggest goal right now is to pay off my mortgage. That will enable me to have either more money, or work less, either of which would be great.

Definitely agree. I had lots of fun in even the worst places. I've been to Japan 3 times because the culture is so different and it's just an amazing place so definitely go ASAP. I'm dying to get back to Iceland in the near future. Drive the ring road if you get the chance because there is so much to see and do. I've been to Australia and only stayed in Melbourne but I had a great time and the girls are very nice in my experience heh. See the real outback if you can. That'll be my reasoning for going back someday.

Been looking at self-drive trips so we can do the Ring Road, Golden Circle, etc. My favorite times on trips like that are where you have no agenda beyond "our hotel tonight is in X city" and spend the whole day making your way there, side roads and all.

I'll for sure hit you up if we go, get some recs from you.

That's basically what I did for that trip. Rented a car and picked a few hostels to possibly stay at depending on how much driving I did each day along with different sights I wanted to see. Worked out great and I even hung out with some new friends along the way. PM if you need any help or you'd like to see some photos from my Iceland trip or any of my trips (FB albums).

I saw your post and started reading some of the posts and then I realized I dont really have any goals. I tried to think about what I really want and I legit came up blank. The desire to be debt free is all that really came to mind, and that is really it. I used to want be in shape, worked my ass off to lose over 100lbs and then I just gained it all back, and now I sit here typing this thinking about how empty and unfulfilling my life actually is.

The weird part is that I am not depressed at all, I just feel indifferent and genuinely lack purpose. I have a great girl and 2 awesome puppers but there just seems like there is something missing.

I actually envy the folks itt who know what they want and are driven to work for it.

Just sit down and make a list man! There's something about putting pen to paper that will get your ideas flowing. Even if you just crumple it up and toss it after, I think it might help, srs!
