Was a great week for me, got back to work after a brief hiatus, felt productive if a bit complacent. Thinking it's about time to move on from my company. Our CEO resigned Monday and I haven't really been feeling the strategic direction we've been moving in for some time. Anyone know those feels? What'd you do?

Tonight have a few friends coming over for dinner, then service. Saturday going with a girlfriend to explore a section of town we've never been to, then off the rest of the week for Thanksgiving.Have a happy Thanksgiving y'all!

Annual football game with the boys @ 8am thursday. Plan to also lift before hand so all the food=gainz, haha. Dinner with the wife's fam around 1, then my families around 5:30. Hopefully watch the Lion's pull off an upset win at home vs the Vikings. Gotta bring a few dishes to each. Will probably make cornbread casserole and some cheesy potatoes. And some type of dessert too, haven't decided on that yet.

You have a girlfriend now? That was fast! How's it been going, do the grown-up yet?

If this has already been rehashed in here the last few weeks just let me know and I'll shut it.

No, he's a legit genius and has built an incredibly successful business, but he moves at a mile a minute and expects everything to be done to his specifications, and he thinks faster than he talks, so he only communicates 75% of how he wants things done then wants to know why it isn't being done how he envisioned.

I met with him last Friday, and made 2 recommendations to improve efficiency and profitability. He liked the ideas and told me to move forward. These are projects that at normal companies will take a couple weeks of planning and a few more weeks to implement. Yesterday, he bitched for 2 hours about why the projects were notalready being implemented, and acted as though these were his ideas, and I wasn't executing according to his plan. I've literally worked here for 9 days, and am supposed to be learning the controller role, not implementing new projects.

I guess that's the last time I make a recommendation to improve his business, lol.

Sunday is a 35 year old, with tig old bitties who seems like a lot of fun, but if it doesn't work out, there is a 26 year old on deck, but she lives far and in the wrong direction, and honestly not as fun.

When great leadership leaves its pretty rough on those they impacted most. It maybe a sign to move on........or move up and attempt to take their place? You mentioned complacency.....maybe this is your sign to amp your game up and become more assertive?

It could go amazing both ways.....move on to another more fresh start up in a different sector. Or be more aggressive and move up.......which one haven't you tried yet I think is a question to ask?

Glad to hear you're feeling better and back to the grind. And be careful on your mission, it's scary out here. We're going to take a look at her Saturday morning just to get a feel for her. I really hope I don't cry. If all goes well we'll fork over the cash and bring her home. At least she can get use out of the big backyard we bought for moosie.

I'll be spending Thanksgiving alone. My folks are in Florida, and the wife will be at work. I'll fit in some shopping next week, grab some chit, day drink and put together a feast fit for a king.

Thanks brah.He certainly was a super handsome boy. I really miss him. She's super cute too, and after talking to the rescue group their personalities seem very similar. So it will be nice to have a super sucky pupper around the house again.

Almost identical advice my mentor gave me the other day. I absolutely need to both be more assertive and start making my presence known in the office. I'm not doing myself any favors by working remotely, and with this turnover it's the perfect time to step up and act like the boss, applesauce.

I have some feelers out there but their products aren't as meaningful or innovative, and I really do like the actual work I'm doing here. I just don't see the vision, and I think if I'm being really honest with myself - I previously wore so many hats and was 'needed' all of the time, and I don't feel that way anymore. Damn, feels narcissistic but it's the truth.

Good advice, as always. Thank you.

Well you have a lot to juggle, you know a lot, and do a lot......that is exactly the M.O. of a CEO/Leader. How well can you maintain equilibrium:tasks ratio without breaking.

Vision is a variable that plays into equilibrium:task ratio......how to deliver that into the vision is the difficulty of a CEO/Leader. How to weed out petty bs, pitfalls, and the negative Nancy side....to wear this bravado of "we all gon make it bruhs and heres why....." hat.

CEO's and Leaders are car salesmen selling you a junker........at the core root of their being. They have to convince you that the ship isn't sinking even if you're drowning they will tell you that isn't water you're breathing. If that's something you can do, I'd say go for the amp your game up and step forward plan.

If however, you love working for leadership with direction, goals, vision......find another start up, wear the various hats you wear so well, and have another notch under your belt of successfully keeping a company together moving forward completing the vision, goals, and direction.

Had way too much coffee and this was a bit of a puking of words but.....you already know that.
