THIS. It's a great phone and I used to work at Apple for 3 years in the past. But the restrictions/limitations annoyed the hell out of me. With Android, I can download torrents right on the phone and transfer music over WiFi in seconds. So many more features for tweakers like us.

Okay so truthfully... here is my view:

I'm a tech guy and run Linux at home. But I just want my fkkin phone to work for phone, text, camera, music, and like 2 social media apps. For this, iOS is flawless. Way more stable, way faster, and a much better user experience than Android. Yes, it's totally locked down- but that's also why its 1000x more secure than Android (just look into all the major flaws that have been found the last few years). The Android model makes updates when there are security issues slow as fuk. It has to pass from Google, to the manufacture, to the service provider for development, then eventually to the end user. That can take months, if it ever happens. The Stagefright vulnerability took MONTHS on even new devices to fix.

Do it. I got the 8+ and decided 2 days later I wanted the X. Looked on istocknow.com until I found one in my area. Bought it. Returned the 8+

I've only owned iPhones since launch of the original, and my X is coming today but I agree with all of this.

Especially the iTunes and the music/pic syncing bullchit is the most assbackwards way of managing your chit on a phone. Everything about this system is just complete garbage with no redeeming qualities. This is some seriously 1982 chit and should be redone from scratch.

Use dating apps
Shoot nude vids and pics of girls i bang
Check email
Check news and misc
Occasionally play a game
Play my youtube playlist for gym or car or documentaries
Write myself reminder notes / keep a journal
Text and call people, video chat

Your iphone x will do none of those things in any way, shape or form significantly better. You see some day youre going to do some thinking on your own and youll realize #1 dont do that. And two you dropped a 150 grand on an education you could have gotten for a buck fitty in late charges at the public library. But you know if theres a problem we could step outside figure it out.
