So what? The banks aren't going anywhere ever. Might as well hop on board for the ride.

Problem is when you do that, you risk the IRS finding out about your transactions if you fail to put them on your tax returns (IRS asks for CoinBase's customer lists).
Yeah, that's fine for most people. You'll wanna report these moves on your taxes anyway.

I just checked and my weekly selling limit is $50,000 on Coinbase.

Yep, it just stores on coinbase. Though if the company goes under you lose your cash also lol.

edit: on that topic, where does everyone store there btc? seems like a pain in the ass. I store mine on coinbase currently but it sorta defeats the purpose of 'decentralized' as i'm trusting them as my bank essentially.

You're a moron, I got into crypto this year, and I have already withdrawn twice my initial investment into fiat, and have made 10x that still invested in crypto. Worst case scenario, assuming crypto totally collapsed, I doubled my money. It isn't going to collapse though. You remind me of the people saying that the internet was a fad.

NO bitcoin is NOT a usable currency at all. Brb spending $100 dollar fees on a $300 transaction and waiting six weeks for it to go though the blockchain. Bitcoin legacy is eventually going to hit the pavement hard when people realize the tech it was built on no longer works. So many better alt coins that are true to satoshi's vision.

Alt coins are everything else besides the big coins. The big coins are BTC, LTC, and ETH now. XRP is almost there, but not quite in the same category.

Long term it's still 50-100% returns in 1 year which is miles better than any stock trader can hope to achieve

Looking to make Hundreds of times your investment and not getting in because of that would be looking at it as a complete gamble and with greed not trying to actually INVEST in something. If you want to just gamble and make hundreds of times your investment then take out your biggest loan and hope it goes up even 1-2k and then get out, Any increase in your investment is better than none.

waiting for the right time to short bitcoin crew checking in

How do you imagine the bubble growing like that? The big players are looking to make the GOAT short on gullible peasants who won't bother checking around one corner.

Bitcoin will DESTROY the market. And the craziest thing about it: It's ALL legal.

Bitcoin needs JUST ONE big scandal and chit will tear the world economy a new arzzhawl.

Thinking of throwing a few hundred in Alt coins that are -$1.

Not fussed on losing it just think it will be fun to watch if it grows or not.

Thoughts?

The only viable altcoin is ETH in my opinion. Everything else will eventually just die. Eventually, BTC will too due to the hardcap or will be traded amongst an elite few. It's great for a short term investment and then a swift disposal while it lasts.
