Agree with OP 100%. There is nothing wrong with turkey, it's just not great.

To the guys says fried turkey is delicious - yes, it's super tasty.

So all you need to do to make Turkey that tastes good is buy and store this huge, $40, single purpose turkey fryer:

Then drop in $25 worth of oil (keep the container - gotta dispose of that oil after)

Dry brine your turkey for 3 days and then put it on the grill over some hardwood lump and cook to the proper temp. Then tell me you don't like turkey.

I usually still do turkey just because it's traditions. But that's 2 days of thawing, 3 days of brining, hogging my fridge the whole week. So no time for that this year. A proper glazed smoked ham is GOAT. I don't like the pre-sliced stuff either, gets too dry, that sodium content though.

You clearly haven't tried my prime rib. Juicy, properly seasoned (most people under salt because they're pussies, it's a huge slab of meat, most of that wouldn't even penetrate the fat cap), and a bit for everyone (rare in the middle slices, medium on the outside. Goddamn mouth watering thinking about it right now.

Yeah presliced is like biting into a brick of salt. Weve got a hawaiin marinated pineapple ham this year that should be good. We still have turkey but its just kind of there. Cant wait though, been on psmf for 2 months and im gonna max.

It's good if it's perfectly prepared (which is rare) I would prefer a good ham generally.
