I bought one of my friend's mining rig's video cards for video game use a couple years ago, but realized I can bring in 75 bucks a month now (minus electricity) just letting it mine while I'm away...
I remember reading about mining on the misc about 3-4 years ago.

All I cared about was how it made my expensive graphics cards even more expensive meaning I had to waste more money on material crap. That's doing it wrong boyo, now my third eye is open.

I don't really follow cryptocurrency because I'm not very interested in it, but here is my take.. And I am probably wrong so feel free to correct me; I won't take it personally.

Currency, especially US currency, is highly inflated by design. Cryptocurrency shouldn't have this problem because you can't simply print more of it. And as far as I know, nobody is loaning BTC.

Given. And if I were one of the people who benefits from inflationary currency, then I may or may not consider the possibilities of a decentralized currency. Most likely I would consider myself far too powerful and important to take note of such novelties.

If I'm late to the party, and it's not my party, then the next best thing to do is ruin it for everyone else. Currency requires a certain amount of faith and there are a lot of people that are skeptical of placing their faith in something they don't completely understand. The easiest way to make people lose faith is to make it unstable.

Of course, I'm talking about pump and dump. Good old stock market tactics. Get as many friends as I can to buy up as much as I can and then sell it all as fast as possible. I stand to make a good profit and everyone else stands to lose faith in their virtual wallet.

Realistically though, cryptocurrency should bounce back from any highs or lows, however... That's all my speculation.



Haven't heard anyone mention this series in these threads yet. But it's a 1-season drama loosely related to cryptocurrency. Entertainment purposes only.

This. I sold all my BTC as soon as I found out Goldman Sachs etc. were getting involved - had 40 BTC, now have 1 BTC for pure novelty purposes. Crypto will survive, but BTC is the MySpace of cryptos.

already speculated that companies are dumping cash into it. Won't be long before regulation requires corporations to report buying btc.

The good thing is there is a possibility that when the stock market corrects, investors will have hedged on crypto causing it to swell more.

I own litecoins. I feel like im too far gone on BTC, plus litecoin is moving at a faster rate then BTC right now.
