Lol I don't really listen to rap, I remember the first time I watched one of his videos on Youtube before I knew who he was. He was dropping n-bombs and I was thinking, 'this guy seems quite talented but goodnight sweet career'.

Nah mate, he only had EVERY song from his album more life (22 songs) chart the hot 100 at the SAME time. He actually had 24 songs in the hot 100, which means a quarter of the songs in the entire hot 100 chart were all drake. Which is a record.

Going triple platinum doesn't make him the biggest rapper of all time. Many rappers have done it and many have been bigger than Drake with not only higher highs but more longevity.

I checked the Canadian Billboard rankings and he has 1 top 10 finish in history. One Dance. lol. Like I said - not that big here.

His highest (only?) ranked song in 2015 was like #45. And Same thing in 2014. Biggest rapper ever... yep.

Obama may be white but his dad sure as hell is black as he left him.

Poor Obama had to endure the struggle of being raised by some white devils. Despite that pain he managed to become president. I give Michelle Obama credit for that.

Because of that Michelle Obama is the best black man of the last 30 years in my humble opinion.

He isnt the biggest rapper ever but you were talking as If he was an unknown ITT. He has been like top 10 artists in the world for the past 5 years..

50 cent was obviously bigger than him. 50 cent was the biggest music star on the planet when he first came out.

Pac had the gov shook. Took out 2 cops who took a gun from the evidence room, who were trying to start shyt with a kid. They were possibly out trying to set up a crime. And he hated that snake Farra-CON. That sexual assault charge was set up by an informant named Haitian Jack. After he saved that kid, law enforcement never left him alone.

Most white people like Biggie because they're ill-informed about Pac, thinking he was a Black Panther, but Tupac transcended that shyt. He wanted to be like a better version of Frank Hampton. HE wanted to get away from BP's and NOI because they followed him his whole life because of his parentage. Just because you rap about crime does not mean you endorse it.

Carcass write melodic death metal about surgery and cutting people up. Entombed wrote about occult shyt.. Blackie Lawless had shows with topless women getting their heads cut off while being tied to a bloody cross.. hes now a Baptist.

Just because you write music about something doesnt mean you practice it.

My point isn't that people don't know who Drake is. It's that people don't talk about him. The guy asked me whether Canadians consider him black or black/Jewish or whatever. I was saying no one cares enough to bring it up. He isn't a cultural icon like Obama.

50 Cent was way way bigger than Drake here. Hell Ja Rule was probably bigger all things considered.

MLK was hated on by a ton of people in his time. He was hated on elite blacks for rocking the boat too much because those blacks wanted the status quo. They feared white retaliation. He was hated on for preaching non-violence, which is understandable because certain people DESERVED, divine RETRIBUTION. At the end of his life he was starting to have doubts about all sides.

MLK was denied a gun license. Dude wasn't delusional but he thought that overall non-violence was the pathway to peace. He got a little more radical prior to his assasination though.

The "I Have A Dream" speech and much of his preachings of non-violence is much more palatable for White America though. Also on the flip side why Malcolm X was demonized for so long in American History even though after his Hajj to Mecca he saw that all people had to fight for equality in the world together. He also denounced all of the Nation of Islam's teachings and became Sunni Muslim.
