so many people rustled from this video just lmao

best part is people in comments are commenting on how they have their psych and philosophy majors but work in low level tech support (basically answering phone calls for 10$/hr).

If you go to college and PAY MONEY and put in countless hours of effort for the purpose of advancing your career do yourself a favor:

Either go study stem or forget about college and send in your cv to starbucks

Engineering is good if you want to work for someone else, but at some point you’ll want to start your own practice/business and just lol at doing that if you’re not knowledgeable in taxation and back-end operations for a business

Finance/ economics/ business management at prestigious university (college) combined with charisma, discipline, networking and red pill mindset put's one in good stead

Also, degrees in the healthcare industry generally are a good idea for people who are sure they want such a career - here in the UK nursing, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, radiotherapy and others are fully funded by the government (no debt)

It seems like whenever there is a high level of maths involved it will be an in demand profession

Healthcare is a good field to get into but it is hard as well. Even for chit positions like nurse you need to study 4 years.


As for finance/economics/business management just lol. Bullchit degrees that have 0 value irl for 99% of the people who graduate

Like above poster said.. Going to a reputable college with some kind of business major is the best. The thing most don't understand is that its not about the piece of paper you get after the 4 years, its about the networking and connections you make while in college. Join a good business fraternity, or hell, a frat in general and get yourself involved in social circles, get the right internships, etc. You could graduate with a 2.5 GPA but have the right connections and make 6 figures right out the gate... Its not about what you know, its about who you know.

what i don't get is if your peers are competing for positions, why would they hook you up with a position they can get themselves?

Even as a huge STEM advocate, the video is laughably bad. Letting the “free market” dictate the value of a degree would be disastrous - that’s the point of government funded research. He doesn’t understand that all those applications that are valuable on the free market, rested on basic research that wasn’t.

Probably trolling but I'll play.

So why not just skip the women's studies and just go to making money with your creativity? Why for a piece of paper that in all reality nobody really cares about? Like the author of the video said, it might open some doors and get you ahead of some other candidates but that's a high price to pay and a lot of time/effort to get you a slight advantage that will wear off as soon as you get past your first evaluation.

STEM might be GOAT for most people.

If you are good looking, full head of hair, tall, charisma, networking skills then you should work in finance instead being hid away in a cubicle surrounded by GEEKS/DWEEBS/NERDS!

I love math and really wanted to do engineering but i chose finance because I dont want to work with geeks that are into anime & super heroes.
