I enjoy the pleasure that compliments give other people

I assume it's the same for others

It feels good to make people feel momentarily good about themselves and bolster their egos. It might be the highlight of their day and it's good to be that person

I compliment men all the time not bc I want something out of it. If you have a nice smile or pretty eyes or that shirt looks really good on you, bet your shoes I’ll let you know. Most men don’t get nearly enough compliments for how hard some of y’all work to get where you are. Especially people who lift.

True, it does inflate your ego.

The country I grew up in, Finland, men never did that. There were no compliments. It's false in a way. Also Finnish people generally don't like to be complimented.

Like my best friend growing up, she can't stand it when she got complimented on her looks. She never did when she was young and still doesn't.

I kind of feel bad for her because she can't enjoy compliments. It's nice to have something so easy to make you happy. Like just a word can make someone's day.
