The style of game Fortnite is will never be competitive.

It's too cartoony. No skill aiming etc involved.

Love the concept and polish of it however. Fun game for sure.

they really need to adjust scoring for pubg tournaments. like only giving placing points to 1-5 to encourage people to look for fights. it's just not going to be a viable spectator game if only 1-2 people die in the first 10 minutes. it's part of the reason shroud and dr dominate on twitch compared to the tryhard pros who get like 1/40th of the viewers.

Had a day off today so loaded it up for an hour around noon. Holy FK what happened to this game??? I've never had issues running it before, but today my FPS was mainly stable, but the lag was so bad multiple times(usually only had that issue for 15-30 seconds after landing). The hit boxes seem messed up too although that could just be lag? I've been been so infuriated about dying within 2-3 minutes of landing, but it happened like 2-3 in a row with stupid situations. Like one where I had a pistol, hit the person 2-3 times and then punched him x2 and he managed to hit me once then headshot with a punch. Rage'd hard.

about to play my first PUBG game with the new i7-8700k + 1080ti

edit: hnnnngg pretty much 80+ FPS at all times with everything on high or ultra @ 3440 x 1440p. feelsgoodman.

I also remember why we don't play PUBG that much anymore. basically running simulator



first game back and I was alt tabbed playing WoW for about half of it.

Pubg is a good pace for me. Auto run/car rides allow me to go get beers and do bong rips. Works out well

Fair points there. FN sucks without autorun.

I just don't like how you can essentially gather loot for 15 minutes, then get dunked on and lose it all.

Still gonna see if I can get back into it, because having more frequent snipers (Kar, SKS, M14 being pretty common) is nice over FN.

Played the new desert map today, it feels really good and it's a nice change of pace from the original map. The couple new weapons are fun too, the vaulting jump is MUCH needed, and overall the game feels smoother.

Also played it all day, they did a great job with the new map, it does feel fukin huge tho and there is sooo many looting areas but its really hard to spot enemies now

Yeah its a world of a difference, feels like a new game.

My impressions from ~5 hours of play:

-more cover than i expected in the terrain despite few stray rocks or trees.
-towns are hyuge
-new vehicles are dogchit. truck helps you get through the terrain but if anybody sees you you're dead
-not being able to look behind you is really annoying. big disadvantage if you land first since you cant tell if and where players behind you are landing.
-loot rate is DOGCHIT. brb running around for 30 seconds opening doors and seeing no spawns. would rather circles update and move even faster than constantly opening doors and finding nothing.

yeah the main problems with the test servers right now are the crashes and desync at the start, i'd still take test over official servers any day of the week. those 2 issues are most likely gonna be fixed before it goes live

So sick of these ****ing Chinese hackers in this game, makes it unplayable. I just watched some guy with a Chinese name(of course) head shot 15 people with a P92 pistol in the span of 15 seconds. This happens every single game, and they even advertise their hack websites in their names.

Straight up scumbags.
