Doesn't use Blockchain, uses something called the Tangle which has been tested at about 500x faster than Bitcoin and utilises a lot less energy. Will drive IoT (internet of things). Partnerships with big names in the industry like Cisco, Microsoft, Volkswagen, Samsung.

Recently demo'd in Volkswagen SEDRIC self-driving vehicle (posted the video on the last page).

I think its more a question of like.. If bitcoin started back in 2008 and 2009, and its still not mainstream.. Then how the fuk is iota making headway.

Seems way, way ahead unless it kills blockchain

Lol man, your patience levels are bizarre. It's not going to go from $5 to $80 in a day, especially on a day where all alts fell. In fact, it's been remarkably resilient given the circumstances.

I think you should get out of it though, you'll feel a lot better. Just accept it was your own decision later on if you end up on the losing side.

Because the only function of Bitcoin is currency, and a lot of mainstream places accept it as such (Steam, Virgin etc.) IOTA can do a lot more than just transactions.

That's exactly what it is. It actually sucks ass as a currency and Steam just dropped it as a payment option.

Well, it was intended to be currency - then Wall Street turned it into the nightmare that we see today (but it's still a currency nonetheless). Not complaining, but as a currency for day-to-day transactions it is essentially worthless (at the moment).

I'm trying everything I can to avoid thinking about it, but it's incredibly tough not too.

I just tell myself that I would have been so happy over the course of 5 years if I made the amount I have made so far.

But, I could have hit 7 figures by now if I had moved into bitcoin one month ago.
