1. Social relationships are glorified transactions (I'll give you my time if you give me entertaining conversation). People only care about what you can provide for them, and if something changes and you can no longer provide that, you'll be discarded in the same way as a broken watch.

2. Money and appearance matter a lot more than we're told as children. Personality is what matters, but personality traits are perceived differently depending on how rich/ attractive you are

3. Genetic determinism largely opposes free will. Free will gives you decisions, but the magnitude and scope of those decisions are limited by genes. Genetic predisposition to depression can mean that you'll be depressed even if you have no apparent reason to. People only see the outside you, not the inside you, and so they probably won't understand and just assume you're weak.

Got negged to fukn oblivion last time I said this, but i'll say it again: disabled/physically incapacitated people (kids included) shouldn't be given an edge in physical competitions regardless of how fuzzy and warm it makes you feel inside.

1: it sets an expectation for an athlete to give a disabled person the upperhand at the risk of social judgement, despite how hard that athlete had work to improve his ability, he's losing out simply because his opponent is disabled.
2: it devalues the competition itself, which is supposed to reward the most physically conditioned individual
3: it gives the disabled individual a false sense of accomplishment. Accomplishment fuels further effort to sustain the euphoria of achievement. False accomplishment has nothing to offer, and might even be counterproductive in raising the person's self-esteem.

Example:

Imagine if your son is a top-tier wrestler about to enter college. He'd trained for years at his shot at getting a full ride scholarship, his last chance depends on winning a state wrestling competition. Enters a kid with disability, now he have to make a choice at losing his chance or risk looking like an *******, both of which will prevent him from getting the scholarship he wanted.

Go ahead and neg away, but you wanted my unpopular opinion.

when does that ever happen in a serious event

edit: saw your edit with the video, but yes, in a serious competition when does that apply. That's pretty much a charity match

Mostly I agree, but I believe depression is easier to heal than people say, partially it's cloudy because of the existence of antidepressants (which aren't the actual best solution) and the idea that they're the strongest or most effective cure. In reality, even if you have a bad serotonin profile, a diet super high in fruit, nuts and oats combined with daily exercise and perhaps meditation, should keep 99% of people happy more than 50% of the time.. which isn't a bad outcome overall. I realize some people have disabilities preventing all that. But there's also been breakthroughs with such things as psilocybin mushrooms or low dose MDMA therapy which have yielded massive results in depressed people. Also, a lot of people simply pick terrible topics to think about and give themselves a hard time when it's not necessary. Anyway I'm not necessarily proposing you're wrong, but I think lifelong major debilitating depression is something almost everybody can avoid.

- People love to moralize things, but never consider the moral implications involved in making the biggest gamble of all, by forcing a child into existence.

- I'm not religious, but it follows that religious people should fear procreation because it's basically gambling with a new soul's fate at eternal torture/hell

- Life is way too long, especially if you realize there's no appeal in raising children.

- A lot of depressed adults see life more realistically than normal people, and they aren't blinded by optimism.

I 100% disagree with/am against Islam, but I think it's outrageously alpha (alpha meaning influential, not "good")

Brb:

It makes no secret of its views on infidels in general
It makes no secret of it's views towards gays
Islamic societies unapologetically treat women as fifth class citizens

... Yet so many of those ^ that would be persecuted/oppressed/wiped out in an Islamic society/region defend and welcome Islam lmao. So many Europeans have already surrendered and submitted despite the fact that muslims make up very small fractions of their populations.

Read the story man, basically the disabled kid tried football before, he scored a touchdown because both home and the other team let him. Now he wanted to do wrestling, but practice isn't enough, he wanted to compete. Basically his coach went to the opposing team and asked for someone to let him win to make the kid feel good. That's my point, both of his competitive accomplishment had been handed to him at the expense of others. This is all and good but after hes used to the novelty things like this will only highlights his condition, especially when everyone so happily goes out of their way to pretend he won.

This spoon feeding is assbackward and not supported by any mental health science at all, and we do it because we want to feel good about ourselves.

Won't neg. IMO all you did was show affirmative action being used with the handicapped. Unfortunately affirmative action makes people who aren't qualified think they are.

-abortion is ok, and it's a shame that there is a taboo regarding it.
-most grown ass men with racist opinion rationalized their opinion in the very same way that females do, with their emotions. Therefore not looking at the historical facts and instead fueling their disdain with anger and being oblivious to reason.
-happiness can be bought.

-Free will is merely an illusion in a deterministic world.

-The concept of equal prize money in professional tennis is terrible. Women's tennis is not as big of a draw, the quality of tennis is worse, and (most importantly) women play less tennis at the grand slam tournaments (best of 3 sets vs best of 5 sets = less work for equal pay).

99% of miscers nowadays are racist ignorant cesspool level mouth breathers. This forum has become a huge circle jerk of immature and insecure racist and bitter betas complaining about "muh masculinity" "muh country" "religion of peace" bla bla bla

We should rename this place storm front jr or something. As a poster above said, racism, sexism xenophobia are born out of uneducated and emotional childish fantasies.

You are able to do this. If anyone has a problem with it, you could sue them to oblivion. That right is federally protected.Wasn't that the only memorable accomplishment of Obama's presidency (aside from putting rainbow colors on the white house)?
