Culture changes so fast now because of social media. It was already changing faster than ever before because of television, the internet, but now with social media it's changing 100x historic rates.

People do seem more "droned/zoned out" now but thats likely attributed to the thousands of cell phones, wi-fi, 4g, etc. (at least part of it)
