sats matters because BTC is the trading pair. Why are you trading if you're losing what you're trading?

The only time sats losses are justified is if you feel BTC will come crumbling downsoon and that specific coin will not just stay put but take over some of BTC's former market cap.

Historically, BTC has taken down all alts with it when it crashes so in that sense it would mean you could accumulate a greater amount of those other coins with your BTC because they would be crashing harder. So if you're holding alts and expect them to moon someday, then you are profiting.

Those other coins aren't going to moon if BTC is crashing. The only time something close to this has happened is when Segwit was cancelled and there was also a Tether scare. Even then it didn't last. This didn't even happen with ETH in summer where there was so much talk of flippening and ETH replacing BTC. Something huge has to happen for BTC to crash AND your alt to simultaneously moon. This is why sats is the gold standard.

You can't guarantee that BTC going down will also cause alts to go down forever. Just cause something happened historically doesn't mean it will keep happening in the future. For now, that is happening.

True, but there is no guarantee. I am actually hoping that happens one day. Because there are superior techs to BTC out there. I'd feel safer with the best tech on top.

What you say about BTC is most likely cause it's king now. I do see sometime in the future where everything could be uncorrelated with BTC. Who knows?

Depends, are we talking bitcoin or cryptomarkets? The altcoin market is still unknown to most...
I would say Bitcoin is at the Enthusiasm and greed phase. It's the only thing being talked about. The only thing they talk about on mainstream is the price, price, price. ZERO segments about technology on CNBC, Bloomberg or any program featuring btc.

I kind of wish I had the mental acuity to sell my BTC when it was 19.5K - at 14.7K on Finex now and red candlesticks galore. Imagine the bank to be made just from buy low sell high.

This. There might be another two to three months left. Considering this is crypto though maybe three and a half weeks. I don't want to be anywhere near the top though. If bitcoin does blow off though we are all going to cuckville for a while

well, the sad part is that the altcoin markets may get wrecked cause of BTC, even though it's BTC's bubble. Alts have just been goin up and down for the last 6 months. Everyone is so happy that BTC is making these parabolic moves and I just feel sad cause any BTC bubble pop would mean the entire cryptomarket crash, not just BTC. I have both BTC and altcoins, but i'm not a huge fan of BTC, srs.

I wish we could have an honest discussion about this and exit strategies but every time it's brought up it's dismissed as FUD. With futures and the possibility of a short coming up, we want to benefit as much as possible. I think I missed the boat by a huge margin not selling at 19.5K but it's hard for anyone to not death grip >1 BTC. I don't even know what my personal sell price for 1 BTC is and I'm not trading it for nought unless I'm at least 90% certain I can buy back cheaper. 19.5K hit that percentage for me but I was scurred it might drop and continue dropping.

The end game will be slow, it won't suddenly crash to nothingness.

They call it king cuck for a reason. In bitcoins defense though, this is like 6 years coming. These altcoins don't deserve large valuations yet. Most don't even have a product, and may never have a user base.

It's hard to talk about exit strategies, when you go to sleep and shyt is up 10% when you wake up all the time. It really clouds your judgement. Then you think, what if you exit now to be safe, and then you miss out on 10x gains? It's stressful. I think the best thing to do is put money that you're okay losing and just riding it out and be okay if the bubble pops.
