That feel when sh!t coins mooning left and right but your portfolio stays the same.

Fuarkkk.
Death is impossible for us to fathom: it is so immense, so frightening, that we will do almost anything to avoid thinking about it. Society is organized to make death invisible, to keep it several steps removed. That distance may seem necessary for our comfort, but it comes with a terrible price: the illusion of limitless time, and a consequent lack of seriousness about daily life. We are running away from the one reality that faces us all.

You guys feel lightning network is B.S.? seems like we've been told to wait and wait. Some of the original devs who worked on bitcoin claim its a mirage and not happening for years. These "test net" things they are running is just smoke and mirrors to keep everyone believing.

In the mean time we have had bitcoin AWARENESS SURGE.....Bitcoin ADOPTION CRASH......and BITCOIN PRICE SURGE.........BITCOIN ADVANCEMENT -NOTHING

IMO I wouldn't be worried more so about a crash, more so who is going to dethrone bitcoin

edit; I remember watching a Jeff Bezos interview about him always being scared of competition and how they needed to improve every single day and be terrified of competition. Thats how you win....

Bitcoin devs are doing nothing and just using marketing.......at what point do people realize that you simply a store of value doesn't work......You need store of value and quick transactions NOW...

BTC> LTC takes too long. Imagine if the miners left the BTC network everyone would be fukkkkkkeeeddd

have you gone to any of the conferences? I will be in Miami in January.....listen to the large investors/merchants etc. Most can't accept bitcoin anymore. Dash/Ripple/Monero are becoming coins of choice.

If you plot out technology expansion....if technology does not advance each year it becomes obsolete.....

lets be real,

BCH is a better form of currency for day to day transactions.

BTC is more of a store of value.

thats the problem...you need something to be a store of value and a currency. NOT 1 of 2

hence why gold could never be currency...or fiat could never be store of value

if you can do 2/2 of you win

BTC will fail if they don't solve this very quick....

If anyone cares about technology there are plenty of coins that handle day to day currency transactions better than either

right.. But...the code isn't nearly as secure (hence the DAO fork) It was exploited..never has bitcoin had to fork due to an 'error'

Also ETH is a little different. IMO not competing with BTC/BCH per say as it focuses on smart contracts.

One would speculate on eth not use it as a currency/store of value

I wouldn't trust Bcash as a store of value of digital currency ever. The creators of the fork are actively trying to scam people. The creator of bitcoin is dead as far as anyone knows, and BTC is the digital currency I trust the most to hold my value in because all the others seem much more centralized with centralized figure heads.

As for bitcoins issues, I've been reading about possibly some immediate solutions are already out there but just require major players like Coinbase and others to adopt them, like using segwit and batched transactions that would both speed up transaction times and reduce fees.

The thing is, that's not really something BCH has going for it.

If your food "tastes better than cow chit" that doesn't make it good food.

BTC has always been one of the slowest in terms of transactions etc, and BCH is only marginally better, in other words, still chit compared to a vast number of other better cryptocurrencies.

Iota is your go to for transactions. No transaction fees at all, and infinite scalability. Or Steem. Or Stellar. Or chit.. Just about ANYTHING else.

You're right about BTC being more of a store of value than a currency, but BCH isn't really a good currency.

Making money in this space is all about anticipating the next move instead of chasing a move that's already in progress. Is anyone else seeing the effect futures is having on BTC's price rise and thinking that ETH futures are going to bring similar increases?

I've seen articles talking about CBOE likely being the first exchange to bring ETH futures to life since they work with Gemini and Gemini deals purely in ETH and BTC. With Bloomberg just listing it on it's terminal, that only adds to the likelihood that ETH futures are coming next.

I can honestly see ETH going 2-5x over this. If BTC can go well into five figure territory, ETH should be able to go well into four figure territory.

Half a cent? It was around that price until just over a month ago. 4 cents now and going to 40 cents in the short term and $4 by mid year.

Eth will 30-100 times in 2018. It will gain over bitcoin and very possibly pass it in terms of MCAP. Switch some of your BTC holdings to ETH.
