Fuarkin lol, even managed to get 'mansplaining' in there...

Not sure what you're smoking.
Just his opinion at the end of the day.

I think you'll find it's 50/50 good vs. bad. Ignoring the paid liberal critics on rotten tomatoes, true star wars fans hated it while average people who don't really care about lore or plot liked it.

I have found that the same people who liked this movie tend to also be the ones who eat up the recycled super hero, transformers, cgi fest movies which are meant to make money first. Nothing wrong with that, but just an interesting trend im seeing.

Finally a non-retarded post in this thread.

People here are also seeming to forget that Empire Strikes Back was also released to extremely mixed reviews and now look at it being considered one of the best Star Wars movies.

I wasn’t alive back then so I don’t know but I’d imagine it’s the inverse. Critics panned it but people loved it. Critics loved this one but people disliked this trash.

Idk why they don’t just make it an all white cast, then you guys wouldn’t complain.

I don’t have a problem with women commanders or women piloting the ship. If you have 100 rebel people, you might have 70 men 30 women. If you wanted 65 soldiers and 35 non-combatant ppl you would have 65 male soldiers and 30 non combatant women + 5 non combatant men would you not?

Don’t have a problem with Leia floating through space. A person who is a jedi or force sensitive should/has better control over themselves/force. If Luke fell into the water could he not stay underwater longer than a normal person? If Vader got blasted out of a ship with no injuries he could slow his breathing in space. If Jedi can float and levitate things why can’t they float themselves in space. You are acting like she flew from planet to planet. She guided her ass maybe 400 feet to the ship.

The asian chick could have been black or mexican or indian, you wouldn’t complain if she were white.

If you guys go outside and take a picture of a crowd of people you won’t see all white people. There will be other races including blacks, asians, mexicans, and middle easterners.

these race related complaints came up in TFA, let us not make hating this movie synonymous with being racist or sexist. it's a bad movie on its own for different reasons outside of that

Finally, a non-retarded post in this thread
The Empire Strikes Back received mixed reviews from critics upon its initial release. For example, Vincent Canby of The New York Times wrote a largely negative review of the film.[58] David Denby of New York magazine called the film "a Wagnerian pop movie—grandiose, thrilling, imperiously generous in scale, and also a bit ponderous".[59] Judith Martin of The Washington Post criticized the film's "middle-of-the-story" plot, which she claimed had no particular beginning or end.[60] However, this was a concept that Lucas had intended.[36]

This movie makes George Lucas look like a genius for how much better the prequels are compared to this garbage of a "star wars" movie.

Here's the truth:

Disney is in the business of spreading SJW feminist propaganda to brain wash the youth. This is their goal. The best way to do that is through a huge franchise such as Star Wars. It's a great way to brain wash the young kids to become leftists and anti-men.

What's funny is that the left never learns: the more they throw this **** down our throat, the more that people become sick of it. Half the audience hating the movie shows this to be the case. And they still don't understand why Trump won lmfao

The feminist SJW agenda is actually losing despite what they want you to think. **** leftism, **** SJW's, **** feminism. This **** is truly cancer. And 60% of the audience agrees.

Thank you Disney for waking more people up to the garbage propaganda of the left. Keep it up!

I agree with ya on the cast, race and ethnicity of the players involved. Who really gives a chit. But the Leia supermanning in space was down right terrible. Yes, Luke and Vader can do things normal characters can't. They are masters of the force and force users. Leia is barely a force sensative. She only feels when major events happen and that is to family/loved ones. She never has had any training in the ways of the force so, to be able to pull herself back to the ship was cringy.

And then turning the most powerful Jedi in the galaxy to a whiny apologetic twit is laughable.

I thought it was great other than a few points.

Spoiler!

- apparently the fat new female char that was introduced lives in San Diego. friend saw her the day before the movie came out in the Apple store lol. Not a fan of her acting. biggest mistake in the movie was casting her.

- Casino plot
How does anybody think that this was some anti-rich liberal agenda? The rich were described at the end to fund both sides, Empire AND Republic. So it's not so black and white that brb rich people are bad because they fund bad guys. It's more like rich people fund everybody and that's why they're rich. I saw it more as how war never ends(true) as opposed to anti-capitalism.
edit: i guess i can see where people come from though.

- the codebreaker
his stutter accent was 10/10. dunno why but i loved it

- leia surviving until the end. Surprised that she didn't die. Her waking up in the space was lame af though. the reach and float back to base didn't look that nice...they could have made it look better.

- luke being a force projection at the end was 10/10. didn't see it coming whatsoever. dissapointed that he died right after but it is what it is

-- in conclusion, my only real gripe is now there's no exciting plot to look forward to for movie 9. twists can be thrown in during 9, but right now there's no cliff-hanger or anything. everything was resolved. snoke, rey's parentage, kylo picking his side, luke's fate...

next movie:
rebels rebuild
empire tracks them
Rey vs Kylo, no surprises really

edit: the damage caused by the hyperspace jump suicide was 10/10 though. freakin awesome moment

I don't get all the complaining. It was quite an entertaining film, unlike the Prequels which are borderline unwatchable. Attack of the Clones is the most cringeworthy film ever made, you feel embarassed to be watching it even when watching it alone. If that's an example of a George Lucas written and directed film then good riddance to the kunt, he's long past his best. These 2 new films are genuinely exciting and entertaining to watch, which was the whole point of the original films. People carrying on about star wars lore and canon can go **** themselves. Star wars films have always been for the masses, not you nerds.

I hope you’re kidding. The prequels are miles better than this garbage, and Star Wars IS made for Star Wars fans you retard. (Well, the new Disney movies cater to kids and women, not Star Wars fans)

Mate if you think the prequels are good there's not much hope for getting an objective argument out of you. They are god damn terrible, panned universally by critics and actual star wars fans alike. Terrible acting (mainly thanks to Georges **** green screen directing and effects), crap scripts, ****ty lifeless digital video effects, jar jar binks. Look at all the actors in those films they are all ashamed they were in them and don't even like talking about it. George somehow managed to conjur up each actors worst performance of their careers for those films, that's how good of a director he is.

Then you get him going back and butchering the original films by adding cgi critters and changing actual scenes, Han shot first you retard! We always have to fast forward the bit he added it where Han steps on Jaba's tail, because it's that stupid. It was never in the film and never should be. George may have bottled lighting with ANH but the bloke is actually a total kunt.

I consider myself a pretty big SW nerd and this was just awful. Putting aside the obvious SJW agenda it was just stupid and awful.

Luke is RUINED. His character makes no sense. He used to be so optimistic and now he's incredibly cynical AND constantly cracking jokes, brushing his shoulder off and milking land whales. WTF. They want us to think he's super brooding well then DONT HAVE HIM CRACKING JOKES the whole damn time. Makes no sense. Why didn't Rey ask him who she was? Kinda stupid not to.

The whole casino/codebreaker storyline did nothing. Their side-quest took up an hour and did NOTHING to advance ANY plot. They failed at their quest and barely escaped death. The payoff seems to be that Finn is now willing to sacrifice himself for the cause Russell Casse style but we get denied that payoff by some newcomer chick who really brings nothing to the table other than she's Asian so they'll sell more tickets in Asia.

Luke is a hologram. REALLY?!? The hologram shtick is so lame and old. It jumped the shark with Escape from LA and is ALMOST as lazy writing as someone having amnesia.

The fate of the GALAXY comes down to 3 rebel ships fleeing 3-4 first order ships outside one planet. Really? That's pathetic Peter. There was no sense of SCALE of the conflict and the importance of the war itself. It didn't feel like Star Wars but instead reminded me of Charlie Sheen's The Chase.

Who. The. ****. Is. SNOKE?!? We're given a villain and left to wonder about his origin for 2 years and he's killed without even 5 minutes of screen time and zero explanation. How disrespectful to the fans and how lazy of the writers.

They obviously just didn't know what to do with lots of characters so they just made random **** happen to them. Nothing intertwined between the entire cast like it did in the original trilogy. Hell, I liked the prequel trilogy because even though the acting and writing were questionable, at least the story was good and meaningful and required some thinking.

This new brand of Marvel'd up Star Wars is trash. TRASH. Rogue One was good but TLJ is just terrible and does not feel like Star Wars should feel.

It wasn't a good movie, even if it didn't have star wars expectations to live up to

Poor pacing, poor attempts at humor, unneeded plot lines that didn't help the overall story at all

it just wasn't good

lol @ kids liking the movie.

Tell them to explain the plot. Ask them the name of the bad guy.

There was no magic or shockers in this movie. Skywalker might as well not even been there. They went to get a safe cracker, failed, went to a planet and escaped. The end.

Typical response just like that ******* actor that plays Finn who refuses to watch LotR because there are no black characters in it, instead of watching a film for what it is you have to bring race into it.

Imagine a white actor publicly stating they won't watch a black film because there are no white characters in it? He/she would be crucified.

Now believe it or not and I am going out on a limb here, wait for it........................maybe the TLJ really is a terrible movie regardless of race.

I know right, mind = blown.

This coming from someone who isn't white.

As more time passes since seeing this movie, I continue to feel worse.

The movie just left me with this bitter sinking feeling. Luke was my hero as a kid.

How could they do this to his character? I'm heartbroken. Fuk you Disney.

Actually what did annoy me about the movie was how were people able to breathe on ships when they were openly exposed to space?

Like TF??

Don’t have a problem with Leia floating through space. A person who is a jedi or force sensitive should/has better control over themselves/force. If Luke fell into the water could he not stay underwater longer than a normal person? If Vader got blasted out of a ship with no injuries he could slow his breathing in space. If Jedi can float and levitate things why can’t they float themselves in space. You are acting like she flew from planet to planet. She guided her ass maybe 400 feet to the ship.

The asian chick could have been black or mexican or indian, you wouldn’t complain if she were white.

Lol racist and dumb.

No one cares about race in this movie. To the extent ppl have "SJW" complaints, it is regarding the sexes, not race. 18 pages of ppl complaining about a) a pointless plot with lack of conflict 2) a female lead (who happens to be white) who is overpowered iii) waste of Luke skywalker, and somehow you got racism out of that? Lol u dumb.

Dat victim mentality tho.
