WAT?

Binance just recently hit #1 exchange volume for a moment and is steadily sitting right behind Bittrex at the moment. It has the highest trading volume for Ethereum and NEO.

Getting very close to the second milestone I've wanted to hit. If ZEN gets a nice little pump or OMG hits $17 I'll reach it....at least temporarily.

mirin' your ability to hold OMG during the sat downturn. I guess the USD valuation is great right now. kinda jelly i didn't leave mine in cold storage but i ended up making more gains selling it a couple months back rather than holding. With much more stress induced trading though lol

Get a Ledger Nano. Move the bulk of your holdings off of the exchange. Just to be safe. I leave some Bitcoin for buying other coins on the exchanges. Every else is secured in a Ledger. Why take a chance if you have considerable holdings?? Ya hurr me? LOL

If bitcoin surge, alts will bleed. If bitcoin crash, alts will crash. Only way alts will continue going up is if bitcoin trades sideways or only goes up slightly

that's fine. Not ALL alts will dip. But i'll bet you 1 Lumen that most alts will be in a sea of red if BTC breaks the 20k psychological barrier

No, half way there was my milestone. I actually sold most of my OMG not too long ago to get into ZEN. I still have a decent amount of OMG though, but it's about 1/5 of what I had during the summer. Doing the math, I'd be at roughly the same place if I didn't sell a lot for ZEN.

The biggest difference was from me withdrawing "small" portions of BTC over the summer when it was at $3,000 or so. That definitely ended up costing me a lot, but if you asked me back in June if I'd be happy if I were 1/3 of where I am now, I would have said yes in a nanosecond.

I mean, you won't find me with alt's at that time but wouldn't surprise me if the strong alts resist it pretty well.

Bittrex is gawd awful lately. It can't handle the traffic and almost impossible to trade on at this point. I've got bittrex notifying me of orders placed and bought from a day ago. It's so backed up it's not even funny. I'm moving everything over to Binace.

That's one of the biggest regrets I try not to think about. I liquidated 20% of my holdings around 10k to pay off all my debts. Obviously it's great peace of mind and i'm forever grateful to be in a position to pay off everything in my life. But it's excruciating knowing that 20% is now worth double what it i was

Definitely the hardest part. I did the math for the first time the other day of what my peak BTC value was, and it was almost four times what it is now. But, I know I would not have sold OMG at the time to get into BTC. I'm just hoping for a ZENplosion soon. Patience is key, but it's also tough to sit back and hold while these other coins are mooning. But, I will still hold for a while. I might sell bits and pieces though.

This stings, but such is life. I was able to take some money off the table and pay for some trips I have coming up, but looking at the growth definitely stings.

I have a very basic supply/demand question, hope you guys don't mind, I'm trying to understand the markets

To dumb it down, when a product has a high demand (a lot of buyers) it's price goes up. Right? Now take a look at these buy/sell orders for example:

I see a lot more buy orders, volume-wise, but if the market gets around to taking up those 300k orders at ...8203, it puts the last (market) price down to that number, instead of going up. Right? How does that play into the supply/demand logic of price fluctuations?

Now another thing is buying at market prices. If I imagine someone buying 500k coins at market price it would quickly eat through all the coins showed in the sell orders tab and then get some more, moving the price up to well above ....8501 - I get that (or at least I think I do)

I've had a lot of people come up to me at work asking about crypto as I had mentioned it back in the spring to them, and now they're all just talking about Ripple and Bitcoin. The CEO/owner of the company came by the other day asking me about it. One of my co-workers keeps texting me memes about it now. Definitely a little scary seeing it moon this quick, but that's all a part of the ride.
