My property taxes were almost 4k last yr.
even with income tax added in i'm still a a little bit away from hitting the 10k limit.
going by what i earn, if I hit a point where i earn enough to go past the 10k limit I don't think i'd mind all that much if i'm still in my same house because i'll be making what would be considered a good living in my area.
I see why schumer is against this, all his rich friends with multiple properties can't claim as much on taxes.
However, people with family cottages on lakes and such are going to get raped since our property tax is just out of control.

He really should step down and focused on his health/family though and it should have happened the same day he was diagnosed. I guess either scenario was likely going to cause a missed vote though.

Don't believe the liberal talking point that the extra money businesses receive from tax cuts just gets shoved into Dr. Evil's pockets.

As a business owner myself, if tax cuts amount to anything, it will most likely be saved for rainy days or used to purchase new equipment.

When my company has a good year they just do additional distributions into employee ESOP or 401ks, "rather give it to employees than pay taxes on it".
Employee owned private company with 300~ employees
We do sometimes have OT freezes and run a little light in some positions so I'm going to assume we'll make a few hires if this tax plan goes through.

How many people voting on it do you think have read it? Less than 5? 1-2?
I'm pretty sure most people read the cliff notes and I would also assume most congressmen and a vast majority of senators wouldn't even understand what they're reading.

I don't know what that has to do with corporate tax reduction though. A company would pay 0% tax if they paid every available dollar to their employees.

I'm late to the party on this thread, but from what I'm understand, the GOP tax plan benefits me by: lowering the tax bracket I'm in, increases standard deduction, gives me more tax credits for having kids, no mandate for health insurance (this doesn't apply to me, but is nice to see), and helps my LLC out with lower tax rates.
All I've been reading about this bill is that it's a tax relief for the rich and hurts everyone else. If this is hurting me then I'm fine with it.

So let em get this straight — it’s literally more money in every bodies pockets unless you make $20k a year working at McDonalds...in which you have a tax benefit anyway.
Don’t see what’s not to like about this?
Or is it the leftists believe that there should be MORE tax benefits on top of the zero taxes they pay to the poor if the middle to upper class pay less?

I think from my calculations with the latest tax plan I finally get about $450 back? Which honestly don't care too much about. I lose with the elimination of deductions and get back a little with revised brackets.
