At the end of the day life is about experiences. New experiences = goat.

I want to see as much of this world as I can before my time is up.

People tell me they go to these places to experience different cultures. I tell them they're chit cultures. They get rustled.

South America might be cool, but I can't understand why so many people want to go to South-East Asia and Africa. I'd like to visit Eastern Europe/Russia and the affluent parts of East Asia.

Pretty much this.

US is my favourite place to travel, I'd rather spend my money there even if it won't last as long as some ladyboy filled hostel in Thailand.

To get away from entitled brats.

So many bros complain about girls in usa and UK.

Also it is amazing to see other cultures and how people live without giant super markets and easy transportation.

Eating traditional meals, meeting authentic beauties, trying exotic drinks. Traveling to different vistas and meeting people from all over the world.

I feel sorry for bros who never get to see what is out there.

Work mainly.

I've been to some utter chitholes (inb4 Newcastle) Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nigeria and Cameroon, and also (but not quite the same bracket) northern Russia are the most heinous locations I've worked in.

They are truly depressing and stink. Literally.

Just feel bad for the people that have to live in them.

The children hit you directly in the feel glands, dirty faces, hungry, but still manage to put a smile on their little faces and make do with what they've got.

But in general yes, lol at travelling to these places unless you have to, or are an aid worker etc.

Same reason you would travel to a more expensive country:
- experience different cultures,people,food
- open your mind
- meet people from all walks of life

just lol if you dont travel. Might as well live in the basement if you dont want to see the world

Because there are some seriously cool landscapes to experience in all of those regions. I don't care too much about major cities or culture but if you aren't weak and know how survive off the land, traveling around South America/South East Asia is the GOAT srs. I can't speak for the latter but I've been to South America countless times. Fuarking beautiful scenery to hike around.

Sounds like you are boring. Go back to traveling to your basic b*tch destinations like Paris or Los Angeles LMAO.

It's not about the economy or the people, it's about seeing planet earth raw.. If you visit a country and just spend the day near the hotel and tourist areas then just do that chit in your home country..
The best part is you can put 'globetrotter' or 'wanderlust' in your insta bio and then when you come back act better than the uncultured swine that don't travel (if you want to be smarter than tell them you saw all seasons of Rick and Morty on the plane rides)

The lifestyle isn’t desolate poverty in SEA. They have plenty of middle life people. I’d rather be a middle class Thai person than OP.

Seeing others hustling for a fraction of what we have is very eye-opening. You really don't realize how incredible Western society is until you see how developing countries are living with so much less.

Unlike with posh all-inclusive beach vacations, the experience continues when you return home. You don't see things quite the same. Rather than coming home and being depressed, you come home uplifted with a renewed sense of gratitude and humility.

At least this has been my experience in having visited poorer parts India and SEA.

Philippines weather is GOAT, that's why you rarely see depressed people there no matter how poor they are. I believe weather is one of the biggest factors when it comes to people's happiness.

Grouping all SE Asia together is silly. Singapore has higher GDP/income, is cleaner and much lower crime rate than the UK.

And you do realize Russia and Eastern Europe are about as developed as Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia etc. right?
