Lived in NY until 16, lived all over florida ever since (South, East coast, West coast, central and north Florida). People saying this state sucks are crazy.
There is metropolitan/city life that is GREAT, there is suburban life that is some of the best/wealthiest in this country, there is amazing rural life. You can literally do anything in this state except snow sports. Hunting, fishing, partying, racing, urban exploring, sports teams, and they are all some of the best in the country. This place is great, the people are good looking (women are 10/10), and the culture is amazing.
My opinion, but man OP don't let these Debbie downers in the thread get you thinking and differently about this place. You can move a couple hours anywhere here and start over completely and it will feel like a whole different world. Such diversity everywhere
Edit: In reference to those saying there's a bunch of low income people, you're surrounding yourself/living in the wrong area. Don't say there's low income people if you can't afford high end living. Downtown Miami/Brickell/South Beach has some of the wealthiest people in the US, central florida (windermere, lake Mary), Naples, boca ratón are all luxurious high end places to live where it's suprising if you don't see a car worth 170k+ on your way to the supermarket. You can't say it's low income while your living in a crappy town, goes for most states
