The characters are a bunch of gay autistic scientists and they overuse the laughing soundtrack. Also the humor is too simple, it's mostly based on the discussion of current events and current technology instead of real, timeless, organic humor.

I thought the show was funny till they all got girlfriends, because before it was making fun of the "pathetic" nerd, but then when they got girlfriends it became more about their cringy relationships.

I may not have seen the 'downhill' episodes it shows randomly on about 3 different channels here. I do think the characters settling down takes something away from it

lol ITT a bunch of miscers don't understand the humor at all. They don't realize it's supposed to be cringey, it's not necessarily the jokes that are supposed to be funny, the show is making fun of their dorkiness. Almost everything they do is cringey to the point it's amusing how men can be so pathetic. That's also why I think the show became a lot less funny when they all got girlfriends, because then it became more about them being odd couples, with a lot of forced and unrealistic lovey dovey crap, instead of the main characters just being overall pathetic.
