Why do women cheat?

I like to believe its because "something's missing in the relationship" or assign some other soft edge to it.

But really, why do women cheat??

I have countless horror stories of my male friends being cheated on but not my female friends, do us guys just cause more drama?

I've been told by two of my ex's that they cheated on me, but I've never cheated.

The incidents when they told me they cheated on me was when they were away for several days in favor of hanging out with me, should have been a big red flag at the time... So guys if your g/f ever chooses being away for several days over being with you you're in trouble.

Every woman I was with was crazy over sex and could never get enough, would do it all day if they could... I'm attractive, but I'm sure I'm not that attractive, do I just happen to get the nymphos? But what about all my male friends getting cheated on?

It doesn't make any f*cking sense really, sloots gonna sloot as the misc would say.

The second girl I was with I treated like crap, I didn't beat her or anything like that, I treated her like a roommate I had sex with, and she wanted to marry me and have kids and everything (she's one of the ones who told me she cheated on me)

Maybe women are just f*cked in the head?

they never wanted to be with you in the first place, many women settle because they are lonely and want to get married.

but when they see a guy they find attractive and says the right words, they fold.

You're describing every girl I've been with, sounds like a crush.

Every girl I was with wanted to be with me as much as possible, the two who cheated took a couple days came back and said they cheated.

IMO, it is what it is.

Meaning when I go into a relationship, I don't fear it. But the moment I see a red flag I act on it. If it's major, I'm out.

Life is too short to worry over this chit.

What people should say is: "I want to f*ck other people".

It is a big deal. She later cheated on me with one of my bros and it ruined my life at the time when I was dealing with it. After that I learned my lesson and I won't do it ever again. It hurts whoever is being cheated on too much and that's a lot of pain to handle.

A lot of women nowadays "settle" into relationships with guys that aren't attractive physically AND lack a masculine nature, something that will leave many of them unsatisfied. Then walks in a Chad, he is 6'+, workouts, is handsome and just everything her bf is not. He is confident, interesting, does a lot with his life, etc. I don't think this is purely why women cheat but I do think this is one of the major reasons for cheating. A lot of men in relationships are total cucks and would bend over backwards for their woman because they know if she dumps him it's game over, I've seen a lot of married guys who are like this from my parents' generation and it is pathetic to say the least.

I think other reasons involve actual issues with the woman, meaning no matter what the guy does or has going for him she will cheat regardless.

insecure about themselves, feared that you would find someone else attractive and cheat on them so they cheat first.

That does make sense, one had insecurities that I was sleeping with someone else, it was later after we broke up that she told me she cheated on me.

She was kinda fukked in the head, I think her self esteem was pretty low and she was afraid she wouldn't find someone better for her so she had "settled" for me.

I recall one thing she had said during conversation with other people when we were together, when subject came up about cheating, she said it wouldn't matter if the guy she was with cheated because she would know that at the end of the day she's the one going home with him (instead of the one her boyfriend cheats with)... Messed up logic. I told her everyone deserves to have someone who wouldnt do that to them, and she couldn't really reply... I think her self esteem was pretty low or she had a strange view on what a relationship should be.

I feel like for both parties it's as follows:

- become unattracted to that person physically or mentally
- even though they don't like them anymore they stay it's easier to cheat then to break up, move out, start new life etc because people get comfortable
- Over insecurity in relationships makes people want something else

This is a big one,

People settle because it's convinent and aren't truly inlove with the person. It's sad really because it happens so often. You'd think with the amount of people in this world you could find someone you actually like.

Guess not

I actually think that is partially the reason why people from our parents' generation divorced so often, there was far more of a social pressure to get married and have children compared to now. You have a bunch of people get married to someone who is meh because of safety, insecurity, etc. and naturally it is a miserable relationship to say the least. I'm so glad that I am aware of what I need for a partner, problem is actually finding her.

This.

And this is why I would have zero sympathy for my boyfriend if he cheated on me "because he had an opportunity"

Bish, I am a female and not a total troll to look at. If I wanted to, I could have a different Chad every day of the week and probably not get caught for a long time.

But I don't, because cheating is reprehensible.

Any excuse people come up with is pure selfishness and cope.
