Most ghys are even worse than a "dad bod".

When girls say they want a dad bod, they mean a guy who used to play football, and is SLIGHTLY out of shape to make her feel less self conscious.

To give a serious answer, I'm sure you've seen on Instagram, Fb and in real life countless instances where the girl is above average (sometimes way above) and dating a guy below average. Happens all the time brah. WAY more than the other way around.

Instinctually, women look for a man who she has confidence will be a provider, while men look for women who appear fertile. While physical health (Aesthetics is an indicator of health) is a good indicator for being able to mate with females in the animal world, it ranks much lower for humans since we have far more constructs to a society which would determine a man's ability to provide.

So das it. Lots of Miscers go to the gym every day, focus so much on diet and stay away from partying in hopes they can get a body to attract girls. Meanwhile the non lifters are going out there, forming connections and attaining experience, wealth and social skills. That's why so many Miscers are FA while the guy who looks like a Timothy is cheating on the girl said Miscer would dream about every night. Lul.

Cliffs: a bodybuilding forum has a bunch of members who exaggerate the importance of looks. Shocker.

In real life, having confidence, wealth, status and social skills while simply dressing decently and not being a fat piece of chit will get you far more attention from women.

I'm not drawn to dad bods naturally, but have dated a couple guys with dad bods (one was an actual single dad). I'm as vain and shallow as they come when it comes to physical preferences for men, but if you have an exceptional personality and the chemistry is off the charts... you can make people lift and get fit with you, you cant change their shytty personality.

Best of both worlds would be pecs of god and a charming personality though.

When a girl prefers dad bod its to protect their ego and self interests. A guy with a dad bod could be a slayer but he isn't objectified by many other women he meets. Women can easily cheat on Mr dad bod and get a side piece or two.

A lot of women like dad bodies because they're associated with age which is in turn associated with higher status. It's why 70% of men will experience some form of balding. If it was perceived as a negative quality, it would have largely been bred out of our genetic pool.
