BCH hardforked recently and changed their difficulty adjustment based on Bitcoins difficulty. BCH adjusts every 24 hours now or there abouts. So if btc difficulty adjusts up for a period, BCH becomes more profitable to mine only for 24 hours until BCH difficulty also adjusts to be in line with BTC.

Hence miners will never completely leave Bitcoin, BCH will never overtake bitcoin because of this. Its only profitable for miners to make a big switch to BCH for 24 hours, this is what causes the temporary pumps we have seen. BCH have basically cemented Bitcoin as the number one coin because of this adjustment. Maybe ETH can overtake it but it will never be BCH. (sorry gabriel)

This is also the time coinbase decided to list BCH for maximum FOMO from BTC holders.

If this in not enough evidence for you to stay clear of this coin then go ahead and lose money. Alot of people here have really been brainwashed by all the propaganda written on BTC here by BCH holders. Which if you dont understand the mechanics behind, it is very easy to be sucked in.
Is bch still locked up on coinbase? I personally think is all the fukkery going on with the market

You still cant buy/ sell/ trade bch on coinbase/ gdax right?

I think its unfair to analyze at all if thats the case

XRP if listed (as pairs on exchanges would be a game changer) you could instantly buy/sell/move money for cheap and take advantage of all sorts of price disparity

Interested to hear what you guys think of Ethereum as a long term investment for 2018? Or would it be safer to go in on BTC/Bcash?

They released it on CB to create hype so they could sell it on other exchanges?

Sense makes none.

Bitcoin is dying. There will be major partnerships with crypto. Google, ********. MLB, Spotify, Amazon, you name it. Bitcoin is aleady huge, and a household name. why would they not have already partnered with it?

Because it's chit. Bordeine unusable. Brb buying groceries with a 2 hour checkout transaction and a $30 processing fee.

Big partnerships are waiting for the best options to become clear. And at this point it's still anyone game.

Except BTC.

Oh, and I hate BCH too. What they did was shady and I'd never be able to trust them as a company. Just think if Amex did something so blatantly corrupt. I'd love it if some young hipster like EOS or NEO blew up and be came the ******** to BTCs Myspace.

Heres what i think went down..

Bch was added to coinbase. Btc just had an insane run and was middling out

One whale or a few whales (possibly ver/ wu and his chronies.. Or not it doesnt matter) sold off a chunk causing a drop in btc. This drop caught set stop losses, margins, etc. Creating a cascading effect and testing the mediocre support of btc seen by the 1 to 2 month run.

This was a reaction to bch. But the effects of bch being added to coinbase havent been felt because it hasnt been rightfully added there and trading commenced. So, this triggered more uncertainty. Causing people to hate btc/ bch drama. Dont know where its going to go as its just sitting there. The effects from coinbase add havent been felt so its just stagnating/ having trouble keeping up with support

I think if bch stays locked up until january this will continue unless theres some catalyst that triggers them either way.

Perhaps the first movement was people reacting to bch. But as its sat there with nothing really going on. Youve had a little purchasing of btc but again its not enough to counteract what looms ahead. This is the fluctuation from 12k to 15k

Thats just what i think has gone on

I'm still in, current split is:

BCH: 33%
BTC: 32%
XVG: 18%
ETH: 10%
ONION: 1%
ENJ: 1%
BTG: 1%

The reason I'm not cashing out is basically:

1) the amount of "original cash" I've invested in crypto is very small
2) I have a pretty solid annual income from reliable sources (jobs, rentals, prostitution, etc.) so I can legit afford to gamble it

BCh will overtake BTC and it will be too late for Wall Street

Just bought in before the first green candle (made that post a few hours ago) and now put more into. Hoping for a sustained moon trip! Still probably gonna keep half until it's listed on coinbase
