Sure feels like a bull trap to me. 17815 will be the true test. If price can clear that then the bulls are running the show again.

I'll surely split my coins again to BTC, ETH and OMG after the fork and will observe what happens to the new coin before selling it.
I think theyrr fallbacks. Its honestly ridiculous.. If btc were to fail then they can just go back to any iteration of the forks

In the meantime it temporarily increases btc's resiliance because people see btc holding up despite these forks. But again, the value should be dropping because the people split off. The s2x supporters would break off of btc and btc would drop

Damn neo is probably going to drop into the buy zone. I will finally get it

Other than that not sure what my plan is. With all these forks it seems like the alts are the way to go, instead of BTC

I will still hold BTC but moved away from my "i don't need the smaller Alts" mentality

I think this is true if every fork doesn't result to free coins. If every fork results to new coin but without free shares, then we should see a real split if people move to new coin. Not really sure why the free coin though. Its like printing money.

Yeah, just sold all my BCH. Prob gunna regret it but I can't see it going anywhere but down with BTC running again plus this new hard fork. Made some sats on it but should've sold it days ago, hate myself rn

Binance usually supports most fork.

Coinbase/GDAX said they were going to support segwit2x when it first came out, but im not so sure about now. Same with gemini.

IMO this is the biggest fork to date for bitcoin IF it is true/ actually happening.

I see what you mean, the top should be about $17,500. Coincides with the fork pump too.

Does anyone know why WTC is dropping so hard, is it just because of the wallet and piss poor marketing?

**** brahs. I'm burned out LOL.

I've got a very diverse portfolio, but not a lot of any one thing. Tempted to sell off most and go deep into Bitcoin. But then there is the old "don't put all your eggs into one basket" thing...

it is.. but it's technically supposed to be a carve off of Bitcoin, the problem is it preys on the stupid, new money flows into it people think it's the next bitcoin, the smart money dumps and goes back to hiding in bitcoin. its always a zero sum game, i guess the benefit to us is that when the late joiners get screwed the new money gets stuck in crypto.

when the first one happened i was honestly surprised how the market reacted.

Hope ETH pumps to new ATH while everyone is greedily jumping into BTC. Unlikely.

I wonder if traders have automation to jump into BTC at the exact block height, and then exit afterwards.

Is there a general amount you guys are willing to keep on exchanges, or do you keep all your tokens on MEW or a ledger wallet regardless?

no particular threshold of x amount of USD or anything, its really about how long you want to hold or if you are swing trading.

if you enable 2fa and follow proper protocol with exchange use you should be fine leaving a sizable amount out there. I just wouldn't put like 100 BTC on a **** exchange. if you look through all the hacks that have happened it's always been a dodgy exchange anyways.

if you are planning on holding something for awhile then go offline wallet, safer.

Same.

Still holding 1.1ETH from gemini and going to use that to transfer/convert from now on.

Good thing my first transfer cleared.. resulted in the ability to withdrawal .1ETH(serious wtf)

I keep my holds on mew and the rest on binance.. probably buying a ledger soon and splitting the wallets on there.

for tracking everything, i struggled to find an app or program i liked. so built a spreadsheet, christmas gift for the boys;
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing

basically you need to add the chrome extension cryptofinance and you're set. all formulas are linked to the coin's name in column C. so enter your coin's abbreviation, enter the price bought at (or amount paid), and the # of tokens. everything else auto calcs. pretty basic, but gets the job done well for me.

cool thing is in cell A1 is a refresh trigger, so change the # in that cell and every cell linked to a cryptofinance formula will auto update. read up on the extension, pretty sick. can link to different exchanges to change everything to be XYZ/btc instead of XYZ/usd.

also, i keep track of my sold off tokens on sheet 2 (so i can see my seller's remorse or my gains) and on sheet 3 is my transaction ledger in more detail.

have fun.
