I've had two other friends get hit and survive but lose their leg above the knee. That's the problem with riding, when you have an accident, you're dead or you're different. Not so sure I want to play the odds anymore..... More fiat for more Crypto. I'll never stop loving the feeling of riding, but a Ferrari would certainly make my broken heart feel better.
Yeah I'm selling mine. Drastically increase my expected lifespan and have fiat for crypto, win-win. Keeping the dirtbike though, trees don't pull out in front of you.

No they shut it down at 4700 and it bled down to 3K where they enabled purchases and that was when the market was diving so the effect was chit. Cuckbase cost me a bunch of money on that, ain't gunna forget it.

I've got a bunch of icon, gunna hodl at least until the mainnet release end of Jan. but prob beyond that too, seems like it could be a lambo hodl. Could also not be, we'll see.

Is it just me or is Bitcoin horribly slow? I've not had the issue until now. Transferring some coin to my Ledger we are going on 4 hours now. With 14 confirmations thus far.

This is normal apparently, and I've been lucky until now?

I sent .8 btc today with an eco fee (like $5) and it was confirmed within 15 minutes.

trading costs money, this is no different than any other stock exchange, the goal is to make more money than you spend on fees or it's dumb to trade in an out, swinging for marginal sats gains is easy work for the most part, but those sat gains have to provide you with enough income to justify the fees. otherwise its not a good trade.

for your second point...

Some markets have gaps in the buy and sell depth charts. Especially if buyers are not willing to pay asking price. the last is simply the price of the last recorded trade(s) from the refresh period, if you are paying for lasts you're doing whats expected, the ask or bid is always just the closest to last on the order book and generally you will not get ask price on a sell or bid price on a buy at least not instantly, when the price moves you might get your order filled.

I think people here have lost a lot of perspective given the bullish nature of crypto. In standard markets, these sorts of returns are unheard of. That's why so much manipulation is happening now, big traders are turning their attention towards easy money (i.e. new investors) in crypto. Pump n'dumb schemes are massively profitable for whale groups.

5% returns is great for a trade.
10% is amazing.
50% is incredible and difficult to believe.
100% (2x) is absurd.
200% (3x) is once in a life time (early Apple, Netflix long term investments)

the fact that most of us veterans in this thread have been in on a 10x'er or a 20x'er that took place over a good week or two (OMG/NEO/WTC/BNB have ones I've been in on personally all from misc tips) proves how easy this market is to get ridiculously addicted to on the premise of lambos and mansions. Most of the best stock investors in the world are lucky to pick a 10 bagger over 20 years. yet here we are getting 10x gains on what's essentially vaporware - in just days.

When this chit really does explode, only projects that mean something will survive, something that solves a real world problem. and 1000's of these tokens will just wither away in to nothing. we dont need 100 payment tokens, we need one that solves all the problems of fiat payments today. we don't need 50 bitcoin clones either etc.

Picked up 3k TRX, thinking about picking up another 17k but I'm still curious about this Justin Sun guy. He's releasing the open source code on the 29th. Everyone is gathered around this announcement like it's Jesus's 2nd coming with their fingers crossed for the code to be legit and TRX to climb into .05-.10 territory. Anyone have input on this?

I guess my point is i dont see how they hold out. Same thing with walton. I always talk about how i posted here about getting into waltob at 1.11 but then i didnt because i didnt want to sign up for another exchange

Then it rose to 9. Kinda dumbfounded how people stay until 9. I likely would have cashed out before that so those returns are moot.

Once i crossed 2x with icx i was itching to get out.

Always. You'll be lucky to get it in the same day. I never transfer BTC anymore, ETH takes 15 minutes tops. I'm annoyed right now at LTC taking 2+ hours. These chadcoins all suck so bad. This is why I think Digibytes or Raiblocks should actually be the winners for every day use.

Never Xferred XRP so I don't know how it does.

Ah I see, the fees are confusing to me, but they are usually a % of the tokens being sold, cost being relative to the token so calculating it is not so easy really. you have to take your fee in tokens, convert that to BTC sats then figure out the sat value in USD. I think. I never trade enough to care since I'm generally swinging not day trading.

You guys got big nuts for throwing money around into coins that might be trash. Wouldn't have the balls to do that unless I was playing around with <$1000 looking for a huge moon mission. Too many other "safer" potential 2x + coins out there.

You're comparing different markets tbh. Penny stocks and the random high-growth picks you find do those numbers.

The thing is, this ENTIRE SECTOR is doing it, which is unheard of since the dot com bubble.

And irregardless futures allow for those kinds of gains (if you're the 5% of people who can be profitable trading on them in the long run).

the upside to speculating on ideas is that until there is an actual tangible product alot of this chit is literally sustained on hype alone, get in get out. I don't think any of my big speculations in small market cap coins I plan on holding to actual fruition.. I'm too afraid of them just imploding.

That's a fair point, this is an extremely high risk investment that can gain or lose 200% quickly.

What coins are you referring to?

Pump n'dumb schemes are massively profitable for whale groups.

5% returns is great for a trade.
10% is amazing.
50% is incredible and difficult to believe.
100% (2x) is absurd.
200% (3x) is once in a life time (early Apple, Netflix long term investments)

Edot: *dumb = dump, but it seems kinda appropriate
Luci please answer my question from earlier..

For those of us who are learning what you have been trying to say quickly - what do you suggest we do to reevaluate our strategies? Just elaborate a little if you can.

Also, what coins do you currently believe in?
There is no thing without nothing.

Meanwhile the next Asian moon mission is coming up. New protocol, multiple partnerships. Hasn't been shilled anywhere, yet up 40% on one tiny asian exchange, smart money is accumulating. Still below $100m. Reminds me of early stage neo, icon, walton. I expect you guys will only wake up when it's approaching 1b and fomo kicks in and you ride it to 1.1b fking LOL
