I've been eyeing ZT0801BW. Elmax is very good steel. Arguably one of the best overall. Good hardness for blade retention, but easier to sharpen and seems to get sharper than S30 and S35.

Para military is good too, I don't own one but have handled one.

I can't go back to anything but a flipper now, I just prefer them. Might pick up an automatic now that they are legal here just for the novelty.

Thoughts/recommendations?

I like the link the best but that blue/red color scheme is kind of wierd. The blade shape is sick and from what I understand s35vn is better than the s30v in the pm2)

Don't know much about elmax but I don't like the blade shape as much on the zt, do really like the size and width of the knife tho.
im not much of a knife guy, but personally if i were to carry one, id much prefer something thats fixed blade. it seems to make more sense than something that folds.

Morning, MFC.

Something brewing not too far from me. Woke up and turned on the news and there's a report of at least one officer down and shots fired . . . they have a large area closed off that's mostly apartments. Streets closed, highway closed, etc.

Scanner feed:

https://www.broadcastify.com/listen/feed/46/web

EDIT: TV saying multiple officers down.

Poverty apartment has had no heat for coming up on 48 hours. This complex is the worst.

We're house hunting right now though so at least our time here is coming to an end in 2018. When I moved to NH I didn't want to settle down until I saw how things went with Sig so we decided to rent. And the firearms industry at any of the big companies is pretty chaotic. Definitely not for everyone. I absolutely love it though, so it's time to settle into a place....preferably with heat.

Not a lot of info on this situation beyond hearing that multiple officers down. Scanner doesn't have a lot going on . . . sounds like they have some guy holed up in his aprtment or something. My guess is that there was some kind of incident, cops called, cops shot and now a stand-off. It doesn't sound like there is an active shooter running around or a large number of victims, but a pretty huge emergency presence in the area.

EDIT: Yeah, sounds like original call was for domestic incident . . . shots fired at some point during the response. So this seems pretty isolated and last report was that none of the people taken to the hospital are critical.

During med school, I remember these two girls from out of state stayed at an apartment that had the cheapest landlord. I was over at their house and it was really cold. The landlord was cutting off the gas. Told them to boil water on their electric stove since electricity was being paid by landlord as well. I remember how sh*tty the girls were feeling so stay strong. Fuk landlords with no care

Good luck man

There's a podcast who interviewed him after the incident and before he was arrested--he's a complete ******* (his Twitter handle was "SWAuTistic" or something idiotic like that).

I would imagine that the guy who sent the swatter the fake address is also going to get the balls-deep treatment.

I imagine so, but making up an address that you live at really shouldn't in itself be a big deal. I guess giving the address out to somebody who already said they would swat you is a bit more, but still...they really need to **** over the guy who calls these things in and, uh, why the **** did the cop shoot the guy, exactly??
