It depends on where you live honestly. I live in Cali and the likelihood I'd buy a home is slim at best. Maybe someday once my student loans are gone since that takes up the bulk of my check... and bills so I can live...

If I were to go to one of the southern states I'd be able to afford a very nice house, but I'm content renting right now. I am looking into rent to own in the future.
Just keep on going.

I'm in the market, I do like the fact my house has also gone up 150k since I bought, I'm not crying for anybody but the future children.


Used to be if you were a cookie cutter mid level blue collar worker you could buy a modest home. Not anymore.

Its a fragile bubble because of this, if for some reason the Chinese pull out, prices will collapse, I hope that doesn't happen, because I might lose, but you only lose if you sell so...

I pick the date 1965 because it was after the baby boomers were all birthed. Canada's population is arguably one of the fastest growing in the western world and it's all immigration. Canada might reach 70 million people within a miscer's lifetime and, if you haven't bought today, houses will be even more expensive in the future.

Sure interest rates will go up but the amount of free land near Canada's major cities isn't increasing anymore. Vancouver is such small area of land between the ocean and tall mountains. Southern Ontario already has a lot of people in it and it's also constricted by the Great Lakes.


Canada of the future will probably feel way different. East Asian immigrants tend to be more conservative and xenophobic than Canadians. So the country will probably end up Asian right-wing and there will be huge areas where English isn't spoken. There will probably be strong race-cliques everywhere too.

Forgetting that he also has oil patch money / employment. Huge cope and delusion but most MISCers know there's of undiagnosed disorders and ill people posting on Misc all day. He also thinks moving to Nicaragua, where he will be mistaken for a rich Chinese millionaire in an area with the world's highest crime rates, is a good idea.

One technically only has one life and that guy has been spending like years in a oil field with a lot of carcinogens, ******* and trashy and racist rednecks everywhere.

the only people that i know that own houses are trust fundies and tradies. The same people that can actually afford to have kids without having to go on welfare.

OP tbh it will be much harder come January 1st, they are changing the Down Deposits for houses to be more than the worth of the house to 'prevent' takebacks and etc. Interest comes pretty low (low 2%s) And I would go through a Mortgage advisory website or TD


My best bet would be to save up 4-5 years and than by a house and rent out all the rooms till it is paid off srs.
I know nothing factual but only tell the truth

i got lucky chit interested me when i was hella young, stuck with it, went to like a semester of community college but was already doing my own thing for quite some time and just said fuggit. no debts ever. no college degree, so sad to see how the norm is to like start off life in 6 figure debt like w0t m8

29, my friends are all 28-31.

many have good careers and make stable/high payments on their loans, but @ 7% interest, that chit DOESNT go down when you consider all of the other expenses a person has to deal with (car insurance, health insurance (fuk obamacare), car repairs).

by far my friends that are the WORST off are the ones that wen to pharmacy/ law school.

I know a pharmacist and her husband, who have no kids. he didnt go to college, makes ~70k, and she pulls ~120k (all before taxes).

...but she owes 250k from pharmacy school (no undergrad loans) and they BARELY were approved for a small house in an affordable area. She pays 1/3 of her salary after taxes towards her loans, but that sheit aint going down.

this financial system will not make it boyos.

but that's Alberta. It's no different than Australia where guys pushing brooms all seem to make $100K/Yr because of resource money and/or union of peace. It's just a brag considering most miscers come from countries without those easy opportunities.

Especially when the CAD falls down to $0.80 USD and below and the cost of almost everything in Canada seems to be higher (gasoline / groceries / homes / huge sales tax on everything). Then add in the winter where Mars is warmer than Toronto right now, immigrants from Asia who refuse to learn English and add in all the Cucks / Cuckistan. Canada is a pretty chitty place to be in.
