Any return greater than ETH's return would be a winning trade. Anything less than you were better off holding your ETH.

Do most altcoins support anything other than eth or btc to pair with? Bcuz in that scenario, if I had traded the alt coin vs usd, I would have gotten pretty much 9900% without stressing if eth/btc goes up.

Not right now but I believe Coinbase will be adding more alts this year and others have talked about a new exchange, Fairx, that will launch this year and have alt/usd trading pairs.

Just getting started here guys. Take it easy on me. I'm looking to get into investing/trading in the altcoin market. So far from what I've gathered is that I need to sign up with QuadrigaCX to get BTC/ETH. Now to get into the exchange the options I've got are Bittrex, Poloniex, Binance. Which one would you guys recommend?

What is the difference in bitcoin market, etereum markets and usdt markets? What appears to be the same coin seems to be differently priced on all 3 markets and some coins don't seem to exist in certain markets, so how do I decide what altcoin to invest into which market?

Use Binance as your main exchange, if a coin isnt listed there, use coinmarketcap.com to find the coin and the exchanges its listed(Under market tab) Go to the one with most volume(top) and sign up there to get that special coin you want. Don't worry about the little price gaps between exchanges.

So it's already kind of established itself in the korean market, being sold in only 2 exchanges. Don't get me wrong, I really believe this is a game changer in the medical industry if it works(sharing patient info with specialists, automated insurance claims etc) but a bit scared.
