They probably have enough social capital anyway so it's not that big of a deal. The same way it means nothing if Bill Gates or Jackie Chan or whoever it is doesn't leave money to their children. These kids are already set for life through connections, wherewithal, status, education etc.

I get what you mean too. So he left it to his second wife + kidswell afterhis first divorce - why should the money he earned during his second marriage automatically go to kids in his first marriage, when money he earned during his first marriage already went to them in the form of a divorce settlement.

Either way I think we agree to an extent here. I'm definitely in the minority in my social circles (where I state I will not have a problem if my mom left me nothing, even though she controls what my father left behind) but, yeah. I like waking up in the morning believing that my monetary success is completely up to me. I've seen a number of inheritance kidlets' lives 'ruined' due to their entitlement expectation and lack of grit.
