I had a friend who did this south of Louisiana in the gulf for a while. Hew made $100k+ per year and had all of his meals and expenses covered when out on the ship, so saved a ton of money. And he said once they arrived back into shore, it was like a giant drunken sex party with all of the Louisiana skanks.

Still though, probably not worth it because a generally crappy lifestyle.

My in-law did that. He ended up getting attacked by a bull shark deep under water and fuked up his lungs because he had to surface too quickly. Not to mention his leg got fuked pretty bad.

Told me about another guy that was working on an underwater transport pipe. Dude somehow got sucked into the pipe and ground up into fish chum.

They make great money though...

they make enough money per year (LOL at 100k+, guys i know tell me its 250+ because of the overtime and danger pay they get) that they can retire pretty early. But it literally takes years off their life and increases their cancer risks astronomically
