Well, going with = buying one pistol chambered for it. I wanted something different and 'exciting' without introducing any variables to manipulation or shooting, as close to shooting like my current Glocks as possible. A G32 has all of the same controls and trigger etc as my mainstay G26/G19, exact same size as a G19, fits all of my G19 holsters, can shoot .40 with nothing but a G23 barrel swapped in, and .357 Sig is still considered a service cartridge by the major manufacturers so you can get factory defensive JHP in the form of Speer Gold Dot, Federal HST, Winchester Rangers, Corbon, Hornady XTP, etc. I previously tried .45 ACP (G30SF and G21SF) and 10mm (G20) but the larger frames just don't fit my (whopper jr?) hands very well. Even if they did(Gen4 feels much slimmer to me than Gen3 SF for some reason, the ones I owned were Gen3 and not yet out in Gen4), 10mm is just too expensive and rare and isn't supported for good premium defense ammo the way the service rounds currently are...45 ACP loses so much capacity...and .45 GAP has pretty poor ammo availability + that greatly reduced capacity. And who wants to buy a gun that says .40 on the side? I just don't really like .40...although there are some really good deals on the guns and ammo out there now and it's a totally serviceable round so I'll be getting a G23 barrel for sure.

I have some nuclear Buffalo Bore 125gr .357 mags for my GP100, I wonder how it will compare.

This is exactly why I went with an fnx45. I have big hands and even though it's 45 acp I still get the benefit of 15+1. I don't plan on carrying it ever unless I'm going some place where I won't ever take my jacket off though so maybe you are talking more about CCing it, and obviously having smaller hands instead of bigger.

And yes, I am trying to only acquire pistols small enough to conceal easily enough. That mostly means Glock 26-19 size. Larger than a G19 becomes noticeable too often.

Who knows, I might like this one enough to get a G33 companion next year when I can get blue label pricing again. Have to see how it pans out. Otherwise I will get a 17 or triple down on the 19 lol

I've noticed it on the cars that have the full time running light LEDs around the edges. I think they turn off so that it's easier to see the turn signal. I'm not sure how much of a difference it really makes, but I don't care for how it looks. I don't think the actual headlight will turn off when you have them on at night though.

Snow drift behind my car is at about bumper height. Going to work tomorrow should be interesting.

It is brass case, and is P40HST1Bwhich seems to indicate the brass case gov't overrun (or just dumped) ammo.

So with all that considered, a couple or few cans of that nickel HST at that price with the flat shipping is a pretty good deal

After much Internet searching, finagling, and many acquisitions, I finally have my ultimate Franken-Glock 29/30 SF just about complete. With this, I can shoot .22 LR (Advantage Arms conversion kit with standard-length and extended barrels), 9mm (EFK Fire Dragon extended conversion barrels), .357 SIG (Lone Wolf extended, ported conversion barrel), .40 S&W (KKM Precision standard-length conversion barrel), 9x25 Dillon (Lone Wolf extended, ported conversion barrel), 10mm (KKM extended barrel for cast lead rounds and extended, compensated barrel for barn-burner loadings), as well as .400 Cor-Bon (Lone Wolf standard-length conversion barrel) and .45 ACP/.45 Super/.460 Rowland® (multi-caliber capable .460 Rowland conversion kit). I run these various barrel conversions with 15-, 17-, and 21-pound tungsten recoil spring guide rod assemblies from Glock Store, or a LaserMax 17-pound guide rod red laser, along with a Crimson Trace LightGuard modified to fit on a 29/30SF frame.

The only caliber conversion that I have not been able to track down, and I am still waiting to hear back from a few places, is a .40 Super barrel conversion for the G30 slide. Even though I have seen several instances on the Internet, including videos, where people have that very conversion barrel in various configurations, it seems that no one makes it anymore. I've already tried KKM and Lone Wolf, who stopped making it a few years ago and don't seem to be inclined to make it again. EFK Fire Dragon used to, and I have talked to the woman who is in charge of that to see if they either have a back-stock one sitting around gathering dust, or if they can custom make me one the way they did with my 9mm conversion barrels for the G29SF, so there is hope.

I'll be disappointed if I can't find one, but I suppose I could live without the .40 Super, since I do have every other possible caliber to shoot out of it if I so desire. Using .45 and 9mm to practice, not to mention .22 LR, definitely saves me money on range ammunition, but having numerous caliber options for specific purposes makes this a worthwhile project. Plus, I am going to set up the 30SF frame and a spare slide to use a reset trigger and laser trainer bullet for all the dry fire practice I could need, so even if I can't get to the range or the ammo stock is running low, I can still keep my muscle memory and training from getting rusty.


Ordered some Aero lowers on sale from Brownells. Still haven't done my pistol build, but having all Aero stuff going into an Anderson lower bothered me for some reason lol. Guess I'll use the Anderson for something different...
