Exactly, same question i ask to myself everyday. Either i am born this way or my first love rejected me at the age of 17, effects have slowly built over time.

You could do a ton of chit to make money. Resell things on eBay from garage sales, shovel snow, mow lawns, paint houses.
Sounds like you should see a shrink if you have no motivation.

I think you are putting a lot of stress on your parents and you are trying to avoid these feelings.

Why don't you put some money into crypto and try trading your way up to a million? I've become a serial entrepreneur in 4 years, how the hell do you not get bored and start working on projects in those 8 years? There's gotta be some creative ambition in there, else you're just not human.

Working is not just about money, it's about finding purpose in life. Not everyone is lucky enough to have a burning passion to do something. I know I didn't. You just pick something and become great at it, then kick ass as you're the master of that skill. It's the same as playing video games, but in real life and your rewards are tangible instead of squirts of dopamine released due to flickering pixels.

If you really loved your parents you would not hurt their ability to retire like you're doing now. Alcohol, cigs and games cost money. PC and consoles cost money. Utilities and food cost money. Who paid for your 2 degrees?

The fact is you have fuked your parents worst than any stranger who would rob them at gunpoint. As opposed to a quick and sudden case of trauma, you've exposed them to a painful, dreadful experience of having their hopes of their ******* son caring enough about them to get a part time job and contribute fade away as the years pass, until there is nothing left but the love they have for you based on their biological response and cultural/traditional values of taking care of your own, characteristics which you sorely lack. I would say shame on you, but I know you have gone past that point.

I have a brother similar to you though a few years younger, however he does work part time, doesn't waste money on video games, doesnt drink or smoke and helps out a lot around the house. He's stuck in a similar situation, but he's not such a clueless dumbass as you at least. I've been trying to help him advance, he has lost a bunch of weight and gotten back into shape. He's making improvements and I do believe he will dig his way out of that hole. I would be very ashamed of him if he ever spewed the nonsense you are about "it's not about money but love". Your parents probably have to retire 10 years later than they would if a ******* like you had not disgraced the face of this earth.

1. Who paid for your degrees? What are the degrees?
2. How much money do you think your parents spend on alcohol, cigs and video games a month? I'm guessing you also smoke the greens and have an allowance cause dipchits like you always do.
3. Are your parents extremely well off?
4. Do they own the house, rent or have a mortgage?
5. What is your dream job? Do you have such a job in mind at all?

He needs a job. If he doesn't get one soon, he will end up competing with kids born in 2000 who will enter the workforce in the next few years.

Well, it's all relative imo. I worked in retail when I was your age on similar hours too, chit money. Giving away a huge chunk of my wage for rent whilst working a dead end job was depressing. You need to make your time spent there worthwhile and optimize the money you make towards things that will benefit you; your main priority at your age in your position ought to be escaping that chit and saving for your future, not giving your money away so eagerly to people (who I assume) don'tneedit.

I'm glad you appreciate it though, that's good. I just hope you have a solid plan and aren't in the same predicament 5 years down the line. The years go by quick and it's easy to become complacent in those jobs. My mum helped me so much during those times, bailed me out a few times when I got parking fines/clamped/behind on rent etc, now I plan to give her the world back.

I read the entire post and im getting what you are saying, but my matters are not in my hands anymore.

1- dad paid for my both degrees. They are a bachelors and masters in finance.

2- 150 dollars my monthly expense or pocketmoney as you can call it. No greens but loads of liquor and cigs. One new game every month.

3- parents well off or no. I dont know and dont care.

4- own the house.

5- my dream job would be any odd/manual job or blue collar job that pays well and allows me to work for many hours.

You are just making excuses for yourself. Take that mentality away. Excuses won't get you anywhere in this world. Where do you start? At the very fking bottom. Apply for job that high schoolers do and work your way up. McDonald's, Taco Bell, local supermarkets, etc.
