It's interesting btc is so far behind now even the normies have enough info to stay away. Tittiecoin seems like better tech at this point. Btc could destroy the entire alt market if they implemented improvements fast.

Yeah. I really hope they stay well far behind alts. If they came out with Lightning (and it worked - people say atomic swaps etc. wouldn't work on BTC as is) today, all alts would die but luckily they won't.

BTC is dinosaur status now, unusable speeds and fees.

its literally useless. People have gotten the idea it will be implemented by banks as a method of payment, but banks have no reason to leave the swift system they've all adopted over the years, to use ripple's centralized platform. Was a great P&D from .25 to 3 dollars, but otherwise I don't see the substance to their value, or the XRP token. Highly bearish on it.

If the people controlling BTC were smart (and they probably are), they would be planning it's obsolescence for the sake of the whole market. Not to make it go out with a bang or anything but just phase it out over time so it isn't as dominant. Way more money to be made going that route vs. trying to kill the rest of the market so this one coin can be on it's own.

I think it has a role as a store of value and it'll keep going up. To keep it functional they'll add Lightning at some point but it's just becoming a mess of forks everyday and all kinds of chit. It's a nightmare.

The only thing that scares me if BTC dies the vacuum will be occupied by chit like XRP because ETH doesn't have the balls to step up and be #1 (wants to run dapps but can't handle cryptokitties etc.).
