Yeah I don't believe Gemini has limits on transfers outgoing. It will go from Gemini to another bank and then your bank. They won't care and I wouldn't volunteer any information either. I've got a friend who sells muscle cars and old collectible cars. He wires and receives money all the time in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. They have called him to verify cause of amounts, but nothing else has ever come of it.

Nice, good info. I was wondering how Gemini works but that makes sense. Don't see why one would use coinbase, limit of 10k a day. It did take me like 5 weeks to get verified on Gemini and that was back in June or so

Bittrex is so shady... I put like 2 LTC into XVG for a quick pump, and now it wont let you sell or buy lmao. The XVG price just shows zeros. Every other currency is fine. Probably dropping and they dont want people to sell. Lmao.

I haven't used Gemini for transfers out. But I have wired to them. Wells Fargo called to verify the wire. That was it. It goes to a bank in California, as far as I could determine. I can't wait to have enough to cash out. :-)

stupid as hell.
Death is impossible for us to fathom: it is so immense, so frightening, that we will do almost anything to avoid thinking about it. Society is organized to make death invisible, to keep it several steps removed. That distance may seem necessary for our comfort, but it comes with a terrible price: the illusion of limitless time, and a consequent lack of seriousness about daily life. We are running away from the one reality that faces us all.

Pro tip if you’re trying to cash out huge amounts
If you are a United States resident, your Coinbase USD Wallet is covered by FDIC insurance, up to a maximum of $250,000.

Wire from your bank. Or just ask for a limit increase. A while back I hit the increase limit request, a few hours later it was increased to $50k/day. Not that I need that kind of daily allowance. This was on gdax.

I got in at .003 so I feel ya man, really should have resisted the urge to buy during the march of green candles but fawk I still think this thing bangs soon. CMC needs to rank it and there is a rumored coin burn and big announcement happening shortly. I hate holding onto the bags of shame at the moment though, fawk, if it would just ride back where I bought in till the moon run I'd feel so much better.

But chit for anyone not in APPC what a time to get in, down good from two big highs in the past few days since being listed.

Thats not how it works boyo. You either A) make zero income and hold the asset for less than a year and sell it (gains appreciate through tax class, so you go from the lowest tax class and scale up to higher classes depending on the gains or B) sell after a year and you pay 15% on the gains.

So lets say for example you make a quarter mil. If you sell before a year you will land in the 33% tax bracket and will have to pay 33% of a quarter mil in taxes. If you hold for a year you only have to pay 15% of that.

If you had an actual income instead of zero you would just start out in a higher bracket and get even further through the bracket system once you add in gains.
