Death is impossible for us to fathom: it is so immense, so frightening, that we will do almost anything to avoid thinking about it. Society is organized to make death invisible, to keep it several steps removed. That distance may seem necessary for our comfort, but it comes with a terrible price: the illusion of limitless time, and a consequent lack of seriousness about daily life. We are running away from the one reality that faces us all.

when did you start trading and how much did you get started with?

Also, what has been your biggest loss?

I could learn from you.

yeah this market will continue for quite a while. we're just too far away from being mature. we will get a correction and then go on a bull run, rinse repeat

think about it, we still cant even buy alts with fiat. so many things on the horizon, not to mention we are still early in teh adoption cycle.

the market will mature, but certainly not in two weeks lol. hell i dont think we reach maturity this year.

With this being a global market and easier for people to jump in than even the dot com era, I truly think this will blow the lid off of that market and we will see this become an even bigger bubble than that did.
I don't think this is even comparable to the dot com bubble. We are only at $760b marketcap. The dot com bubble was at $3t.

I think cryptos can easily hit $7t before the party starts to wind down. I mean the blockchain tech itself is not going anywhere. All that will happen is lesser coins will vanish.

The real guessing game is trying to figure out what will be the amazon/apple/microsoft equivalent. But no one knows. That's the exciting part of all of this.

Agreed 100%. Not even close to mainstream adoption nor investment. Those foundational technologies like ethereum that is being used to create all these new tokens are really important to have a long term position in.

Yeah fortune favors the bold. That extra step is too much of a hassle for people to really bother. I think that's why the time is now to invest in alts. Before they hit user friendly exchanges like coinbase.

I know because I used to be one of those people just holding onto btc and eth because I didn't want to go that extra step of signing up for another exchange, deposit sats, to buy alts in an unintuitive exchange.

tfw when up $200k today hnng.

100% the market will crash between the 5-10Trillion range. The biggest indicator is the US dollar, once it bottoms out prepare for a resurgence and crypto will be BTFO.

The past year I have heard more about bitcoin and cryptos than any other time. I think 2018 will keep going and have a break out year. By 2020 I think mainstream acceptance will be inevitable.

Yeah we are not going to see 1000x gains like the first adopters but I think we are still early-ish.

it's a scam to other normies when normies describe it as a get rich quick scheme without knowing anythign about cryptcurrency.

Bro you're dabbling in the chittiest of the chitcoins, like buying these things at 2 sats for fuk's sake lol. They can go 100% 10 times and still be pretty small. With the total market cap potentially hitting 2T in around a year there will be a lot of big % gains for tiny chitcoins that go from almost nothing to a 10-20M cap at least for long enough for you to cash out before it tanks.

but yeah ones like eth and yes even btc aren't going to be doing retarded %'s at this point I don't think.

Enough that you won't hate yourself for not buying more if/when it takes off but not so much that you hate yourself for not putting some of that value elsewhere.

Probably because they know nothing about it. I used think it was a scam a while back too. Until I started doing my own research on it. I think that's the best way to introduce someone to cryptos.

Just tell them the basic facts and encourage them to find out more on their own. If you shill too hard you will come across like Gabe in this thread.

I'm not so sure about that brah. Crypto breaks almost every rule I thought I knew about trading. It follows the same guidelines but it just doesn't make sense.

I started playing with stocks around 8 years ago (seriously, that's when I should've started the crypto game). Invested in sure things at first just throwing some money every now and then at companies like Apple and ********. I later dumped a good chunk of money into Tesla, Ball (the jar company.. they make cans for Monster), and Northrup Grumman. Didn't really day/swing trade with those. I started day trading with smaller energy and oil companies as well as some mining companies as penny stocks. Had my best day three years ago when a mineral mining company jumped from 3 cents to 9 cents in days (seriously lol at these bitch ass gains). Cashed out immediately and months later they went under. Still have stock in the three I mentioned earlier but have since sold Apple and ********. Biggest loss was a $400 investment in a penny stock that went tits up.

Started crypto in mid November and the volatility really intimidated me. I decided to buy 10 Litecoin to test the waters and sold them early Dec when they made their first jump to around $160. Made a good chunk there and I've been hooked since. Biggest day so far was recently when XLM went close to $1. I figured it would be a huge barrier so I sold just before. I've made a few bad trades which led to bag holding but they've always bounced back. I haven't lost anything in this market yet (inb4 bubble bursts, binance closes, wallet hacked, etc.) because I refuse to sell at a loss. I'll hold bags forever in the crypto world if I have to.

Woah you're pretty green in the crypto world too, it's encouraging to see you're already making profits. Thanks for sharing brah, I was gonna rep you, but I already did.

im probably being too liberal with the growth estimate though, youre right.
I'm surprised he hasn't come out with his own coins. Like ********coin (fbc) or zuckerbux (zub). He has the capital and resources to pull it off. That's what I would do if I was a billionaire.
