Well this thread is entertaining to say the least. And to say that height doesn't matter on Tinder is the understatement of the century.

I wonder how many matches Spadelexus would continue to get if he changed his stated height from 6'4 to 5'10.

although if pics dont give height away - and he doesnt mentions anything - or says 6ft (sloots wont notice 2inches.....there....) - i dont think it would make too much of an impact

Well I would still be curious if he does this experiment for the misc. Leave everything the same on Tinder, just change that height from 6'4 to 5'10.

Of course... Spadelexus is decently tall in real life, and he might get called out by women who might say hey you look much taller than 5'10 because he has longer limbs etc, but I would still be curious to see if the initial number of matches would go down if he made that simple height modification to his profile.

Up for the experiment Spadelexus?

Sure but Im not on tinder (just bumble and match) and it kinda goes against best practice of leaving height out of bio if you are <6', which like RM said would mean round up to 6' if 5'10".

So maybe leaving height out on bumble and changing height to 5"10" on match (you have to list height) to see what happens? If a bumble girl asks my height I'll say 5'10" and if any existing matches ask ill tell them the truth (since they already saw 6'4)

Lol don't wreck your online dating accounts just for the sake of an experiment. I would say re-sign for Tinder, and just change that height to 5'10, leave everything the same on it, as it was before. With Bumble / Match, leave your real height of 6'4 cuz you obviously want to go on some real dates too.

And I am honestly more interested to see how 5'10 height will affect Tinder more than any of the other apps.

I'm 5'6 so not tall by any means. I will also put it to 6'0 to see if anything changes.

Obviously not gonna meet any girls after I change it since that would be false advertisement but will record matches /number close changes.
I'm of the opinion most girls don't care as much as people here on the misc care. As long as you're taller than the girl, then it's fine. It's more important to be confident, maintain good hygiene, and to establish attraction (game).

Hah yeah Im trying to avoid tinder at all costs. Otherwise Id be down no problem. Im really looking for a girl to see regularly, and not just as a fb. I'm not gonna pass up an easy smash opportunity if it presents itself on match/bumble but not going to be targeting it. Pretty much the exact opposite of how I've been using these apps the past few years. Those screens I posted were from months ago, just wanted to show that girls were referencing the flirty/sexual bio content I was using.

true statement. I'm 5'6 and my fwb is an inch and a half taller than me. It doesn't seem to bother her as long as I keep her at interest, but at the same time I felt like i should be in a dominant position by wearing elevator soles in my shoes or at least appear taller than her, especially when we go out lol. The point is, height barely matter unless you got the looks and game.

It aint the end of the world shortys, we all gonna make it.

Questions for the Bumble experts. When a girl opens you with a very standard "Hey, how's it going?" do you usually start off with a small talk response, or immediately try to come up with something a little weird/cheeky to stand out?

My bigger question is, if she doesn't respond to your "Hi xxxx! How are you?" response after a day or so, is it dead before it even begins, or is there anything you'd double message to get it going at this point? In that situation currently with probably the hottest match I've ever had - was hoping to at least get the conversation started lol.

Now on match. I'm not sure how this really works? Appparently I just got my days worth of matches and won't get anymore until tomorrow? And there is this thing called top spot which sounds like tinder boost. lol

You can just message anyone you want. All that stuff is to make your profile more visible to people but you can just go to search and message anyone instead

1. I usually give them chit for coming up with such a lame opener in a playful way. Then I take control of the conversation not necessarily with weird/cheeky stuff but better than just hows your day going.

2. On any app if a conversation randomly dies I message "Is this our first fight?" It works well. Sometimes they laugh, say no, and that they had a crazy day or something...then you just continue the convo. If they say yes it is, I'll usually say that we need to work out our problems over drinks. Orrr depending on their vibe and how the convo was going I may say something about make up sex
