You're amping up your emotional projection buddy.

Didn't know that you were on the scene and measured his blood pressure and gave him a mental eval just in case!

Do you feel the same for hunters and people who shoot in self defence?

If you are shooting at another person for the first time, unless you have no emotions like a god damned psychopath, you will be shaking, jittery and amped up. I thought i covered this already. Just admit you have no dog in this fight and you are arm chair quarterbacking this. This situation is like training to beat a lie detector, which just measures a spike in CNS activity when you lie (because you know when you lie so your heart rate spikes some). The idea is to keep lying so your brain just gets use to it and stops letting the heart spike in beats. The same goes with adrenaline production when engaging human targets. The more you engage in firefights, the more calm you will be. Unless you dont have any emotions to go all over the place

I'm not arm chair quarterbacking. Your entire premise is from your limited view of combat or actual engagement. People with guns (knives, bats, weapons) are killing other people every day and going home to their famililes, off to work, or taking the shoes off the guy they just killed. WTF are you on about training to beat a lie detector or CNS spikes, or lying? The human mind doesn't require one to be in 9 firefights before it can compartmentalize to remain calm for the 10th lolololololo

Not relevant?

We are discussion the endocrine reaction to shooting at another human. I have my view on why he acted the way he did, your viewpoint is opposite. I cite my reason for why I think the way i do (because ive done it) and ask you if you have but you dont think its relevent.

i'm done.

lol it's not relevant at all. You are putting out there that this person who responded to a crime in progress is a psychopath and trying to wrangle lie detectors, lying, heartrate, and some weird personal experience you have into hiding the fact that you clearly don't understand what the definition of a psychopath is and how your labeling of someones else's behaviour opens a window to how you value and process things, hence you projecting. Your premise of slandering this guard due to your own mental issue with a firearm has you blinded to the point that you've resorted to gifs and namecalling. Yeah, you're done. Done early when you 1st replied.

Good stuff, though.
I don't think the video is fake at all, but you have a point there's no credible news reports about this incident. Some New Jersey reporters tried to track the store down but they said the store the video was supposedly shot at (no pun intended) looks completely different. A clerk said they think it was from California. My guess is either this video is old, it happened somewhere else or they're trying to cover it up to protect the security guard (which I don't have a problem with).

To be fair, he may have been impacted because his judgement was questionable. For instance...

Also, he could have just ingested a drug that many people use that dull the senses...or maybe he takes beta blockers at home and it kept his heart rate from spiking...

Just throwing possibilities out there, albeit I agree with you that he must have been through some high stress chit in his life based on his reaction.

Yeah, unless that dude just got done watching Pulp Fiction, he was way too collected for busting through the door shooting people -- when it was unplanned. I think it's most likely he is ex-military or ex-hood. Otherwise it's as if he was on something pharmacologic that would keep his physiologic responses stifled.

Potentially? Absolutely. Can a person on the ground pull a side arm, aim it and fire?

You don’t pull on someone unless you intend to kill. If they aren’t that level of threat, then you don’t pull. If they are, you do whatever needs to be done. Simple stuff, man
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.
