Not sure why 99% of the coins are moving in unison though. I wouldn't be surprised if it was some massive whaling companies bots doing all this work. It doesn't make sense that people decide to either buy or sell at the same time. Now if coinmarketcap showed all the coins vs BTC & ETH i'd understand because all it needs is dip or increase one of those coins to show paralleled fluctuations.

I think its more likely than not to break the $100 usd barrier by the end of the year. Anytime there is news the price soars fast, but also dips after.
I also had around 700 waltons, made up like 90% of my portfolio and sold the same time as you. Kicking myself but aw well.

That's the beauty. You can just by now and hold and wait. You don't need to day/swing trade if you don't feel comfortable. Months/years down the line you'll be sitting pretty. At least compared to 99.9% of everyone else.

i'm looking to invest in cryptos within the next week or so, but I want to make sure I time it right when some like BTC, ETH, NEO, etc... are at lows, and it seems like some just keep dropping.....

When is the best time to get in, or better yet, how do you analyze it and figure out when they are at pretty low points and will climb back up?

They won't. Most of these chitcoins won't make it and that will be the "bubble." But blockchain is here to stay, the ones that play it right will be the next Amazons, ********s, etc.

Before all the new comers it was best to sell Friday and buy back in late Sunday. Now it is all a mess. You can wait till Thursday to see what happens, but usually when people wait they miss the train.

Just the same way as in any trade exchange. Watch the market, analyse trends, note highs and lows on a short time range and check if there are any trends in the long term (EoY for example).

Don't take hasty decisions and only invest what you believe in.

There are some crypto's I really believe in, but there's a lot of crap out there. Think critically.

lol, mate - well this is the whole issue. If you can do that, you will be insanely rich in no time at all. There are some ways to sort of roughly predict what will happen - due to support/resistance and stuff (e.g. when a price falls back to a previous low point, it may find "support" and bounce back up because people see it as a good safe low entry point so buy more. And, conversely, when it approaches a previous high point, many people will sell because they were bag holders and/or think that's a good time to take profits, which makes the price fall back, i.e. "resistance")

Really, no one has any idea what they're doing. Least of all me. Buy in now, wait longer, buy a bit each day... either way you could get it right or wrong.
Could have been a slayer.

speaking of Amazon, It's price at the peak of the dot com bubble (dec 99) was 106.69 (from $1.50 in may 1997) 21 months later it hit a low of 5.97.

It didn't go back to over $100 till a decade later.

Some interesting parallels.

Biggest difference imo is the accessability to the market.
Stock trades were somewhat harder to do (you had to do them physically at a stock exchange or through a bank), whereas now every dog who can type can make his own account on some of the Crypto-exchanges. There are some other factors to be taken into account of course (Amazon was not the company back then that it is now), but just pointing out that fluctuations don't necessarily need to take that long.

I've never seen my portfolio so low, but I'm still up from what I initially started with. So I'll hold.

I don't think this is the end. Anyone else think we're going to be okay soon?

I don't think this is near the end. The entire crypto market will crash to depressing levels, shaking out even the early adopting 'HODL'ers when they watch their huge profits evaporate. At that point, the good cryptos will start to rise again, a lot of the alts will be abandoned.
If bitcoin gets to a dollar, I'll buy 100 of them on a gamble.
