imo, crypto is almost safer than speculating on housing. With crypto, your losses are limited to what you put in. You get on the wrong side of a house flip or 3 and you're bankrupt.

This. Something tells me there are outside forces at work here, but exchanges have been crapping the bed lately. Seems like any hope of new money coming in was thwarted by nearly every single exchange or entry point having issues at once. I would assume there are resourceful companies looking to come up with alternatives, but until then we are kind of at their mercy.

Where are we at on this?

I thought the exchanges had new user registration locked out and we were all waiting on this flood of new money coming into the market. That was a week+ ago.

Does anyone have any news/updates on where the exchanges are at with new users? Holy fuark do we need that new money right now.

Uhh I could be wrong, but I think you took the opposite meaning from his post. He's saying the "January dip" last year looked like a massive crash at the time, but is a tiny bump when you look at the rest of the year.

So today looks like a crash, but by 2019 when BTC is 100k it may look like a tiny bump.

I am unaware of recent news because I've been lifemogged this last week and hardly had any time to keep up with news. Long term there's supposedly competition to coinbase launching in q1, and even rumors of crypto access via ******** but have no idea how that's going to work.

thats the thing. I feel like CB is going to get left in dust. Fiat to Altcoin pairing is INEVITABLE. does CB have a plan for when multiple exchanges launch? guaranteed at least two will be successful.
