This type of drop happened just a few months ago, believe it or not. There were TWO MONTHS where strong and weak alts steadily bled from previous ATHs to very low points. This happened as BTC steadily rose to a new ATH, which peaked at about 20K.

If you want an actual example of a strong alt to look at for evidence of the period I'm talking about, check out OMGs daily chart from it's ATH of .0032 Satoshis. And check out in September when it started to drop and then just kept dropping. Now, look at other random alts around that time period as well. You'll see them bleeding, and bleeding horribly for a long time.

Many people sold and lost a ton of money and a ton of BTC. However, some people held and the people that held ended up making a ton of money. Perhaps they aren't back up to their previous levels of BTC, but the USD values the majority of alts now compared to back then are up, and up quite a bit.

The less here is that panic selling isn't always the best option and if you hold through this mess instead of guaranteeing a loss by selling, you'll likely be looking at big gains as 2018 progresses. Within just a couple of months you could be high in the green, which is what has happened every year after January for the past three years.

Think about it and don't let this post go unnoticed.

Yeah but this time, BTC dropped with it....I'm not seeing the parallel here. Unless I'm missing something.

I was gonna buy some XLM too...but i ended up getting BAT. Lower marketcap and bigger discount. IOTA is super juicy too....too many sales.

This red is different though, awareness is much higher and there are futures trading. With all the 'normies' in, the 'dip' could drop back to 'pre-normie' levels as they give up on crypto and move back to standard investing. Maybe even the 300s of 2015.
And we have to take into account a number of early adopters got out on the $20k spike, that could lower the floor even more.
It's going to be interesting to see where this goes before it recovers.

To be clear, I think it could still hit 50k or 100k or higher, but I don't think many retail investors are going to be around for that.

No the thing thats not parallel is that btc has been propped up by forks. Those guys are mostly in it because they saw their money go up, not because theyre huge believers in btc

From 4.5k to 20k a lot of the catalyst was BTG fork and S2X fork. Sprinkle in some normie money because they saw btc's huge rises

lol if by 'normie' you mean a lot of investment firms and trusts investing billions of dollar in trading and mining of bitcoin, ethereum and some other cryptos then yeah.

Early adopters getting out on the $20k spike is more of a positive since early adopters were limited number of entities holding a lot of BTC, I don't get your logic that the floor can be lower. Most normies I know hold like barely 0.1 BTC.

After a few weeks whole market or most of it (hope stupid chitcoins excluded) will be back at their highs and business will go on as usual.

Are banks not using XRP/Ripple anymore? I thought that was going to be one of the more promising ones.
The purpose of Dragon coin looks interesting too, tying into Chinese gambling. With that one a much higher value per coin would make sense for the purpose.

Anyone have withdraw issue's on KuCoin recently.

Got like 5 eth stuck in limbo for the past 2 days. Says "Succeeded" on KuCoin but the transaction could not be found when I go to ethplorer. No Human support over there. god damnit. Need to get into these bonuses on ICO's but not liquidating other chit at a loss.
