Hybrids d picking is like a piano player with one hand!
Your pick is plucking the base notes while your fingers like a banjo roll licks out the rest.
Dude you are talking out of your aZz.
Normal flat picking harder than hybrid?
No point in even going on!

Hybrid picking doesn't mean playing like a piano unless you're talking about sophisticated chord melody jazz work utilizing bass lines, comping chords and melody lines over top. Simply using hybrid picking doesn't automatically mean he's doing incredibly complex things if he's only using it for single note lines. And he's NOT running bass lines when he does those banjo rolls. lmao.
Lol, I think your lack of experience on guitar is informing you incorrectly in this subject.

You clearly have no idea what hynrid picking even is! I used the paiano comparison as a means to explain it. One hand is ndoinfg the job of two!
Not just two but hybrid picking you can mimic the sound of the drums, bass and lead.
If there are any truly experienced guitar players here especially in the country realm they will verify.
Your argument makes no sense
Just the flat picking being harder than hybrid is all one needs to see

I know exactly what hybrid picking is. Its a technique like any other. One technique does not make up for the fact that hes worse at every other technique. And oddly enough were two of the most experienced players on this entire board. Ive been playing for 13 years at a pretty advanced level. If you wanna take a look at an advanced technique and doing the work of two take a look at felix martin
Or even this random flamenco player.
Thats more cpmplex then a country lead. Doesnt mean hes better than albert lee as a whole or better than shawn lane, its a technique. Thats all.

Hence the name hybrid picking. How long have you been playing guitar for and whats the hardest thing youve mastered though? because it seems like youre really speaking from a limited view point here.Fifnger picking and hybrid tWO COMPLETELY different THINHS ENTIRELY

let's see a video clip of you showing of these techniques, or any technique for that matter? can you actually play decent or are you just talking about things you really don't understand?
cuz just consider for a moment the possibility that ur wrong about this stuff cuz in that case you'd look like a giant retard.
the other guys you're arguing with have actual clips of they playing, and they're definitely not chitty so....

My favorites, not best.
EVH, by a looooooong shot.( and imo the best to ever pick up a guitar)
Jim root- his stuff with stone sour not slipknot, if you watch a live stone sour acoustic vid his little lead melodies are just so tasteful and amazing to me. He is a great guitarist and is wasted on slipknot imo, much like Corey's vocals.
Tony Iomi- saw Sabbath last year and he just blew me away
