Haven't seen BRB in this thread for the last little while, but he asked me at the end of November to post when my casual arrangement with a particular girl I was hanging out with came to an end.

I'd say that's probably happened now as I've lost interest and stopped reaching out to her, and she hasn't contacted me in a few weeks either. I'm just really busy outside of my dating life, and also have a full pipeline of much better options now. The sex wasn't so mindblowing to keep bringing me back. I'm curious how long it would have lasted (your girl or mine) had we have kept seeing them once a week or fortnight until they ended it. I too also have a full pipeline, majority of them will flake/ghost but a few will pull through.

As an example I had 6 dates scheduled for tomorrow night (lol), 2 have already rescheduled, 2 have confirmed but may flake anyway and 2 are 'tentative' yes's which means they'll probably ghost tomorrow. If 1 out of 6 shows I'm probably doing well. Sadly it's just the way you have to be now as these girls get flakier and flakier (will be specific to your location, your own value, and the value of the girls your chasing), worst case scenarios are either all flake and you get nothing, or all of them show up and you stand up a bunch and burn a heap of bridges.

That's some next-level date stacking, but it makes sense given the ubiquity of flaking. Once you've met these girls a few times their flakiness decreases, but first dates off tinder are so flakey that I now always write "possibletinder date" in my calendar.

I don't know if it's a regional thing, something about my conversation style, or if I've just been absurdly lucky, but my flake rate is extremely low. Once I have made definitive plans with a girl to meet on a specific night, I think I've only had about 2-3 flake out of the 30-40 girls I've met since September. If anything it is me that is flaking because I'm just too busy these days, and I'm getting way more phone numbers/agreements to go out than I possibly have time for. I'm burning a lot of bridges that way - it's stupid really since I don't need to stack given my low flake rate, but am just addicted to swiping and trying to close matches.

Definitely have had a bunch ghost either prior to making definite plans or after the first meetup though.

I'm dating mostly 8+'s (some of them are models or model tier) in a city that is about 4x-10x harder than NYC aged 18-23 (many 18-21) with a small handful aged 24-26. The mid 20's girls have a lower flake rate, girls in their 30's flake only rarely, not that I date many this age. While I am 33, so I get ALOT of flakes an I'm sure some of them are due to age gap, nerves etc.

Out of the 6 I stacked tonight, 2 flaked, out of the 2 tentatives 1 ghosted and 1 wanted me to trek across town to take her to dinner (lol) so I went NC, 2 showed. The first one I really clicked with so ended up banging and I stood up the second one. I would have sent a flake text but I wanted to make sure I got the P in V before I cancelled on the second girl in case I got LMR so I could kick her out and try and pull the backup, but all went to plan and I was too... preoccupied... to be able to send a cancellation text so she texted me a couple times telling me she was there and tried calling then gave up.

I'm sure girls get stood up all the time here because guys are all pulling the same thing because of the insane flake rates. I can promise you that sort of non existent flake rate you have would simply not be possible in a city like this unless you are dating girls way, way, below your league, and even then I'm certain you'd have a higher flake rate. Flaking is just part of the culture here. In fact my 'getting stood up' rate would be higher than your flake rate, so where a girl confirms hours before and then just doesn't show, I did the same thing to that girl tonight so I'm sure girls are playing the same game here.Up your standards. If I start dating 6's or even mid 20's to early 30's 7's then I have way too many options too. Find the sweet spot of the level of girls you can get where you can only get maybe 1 or 2 dates a week with a bit of effort. I'm betting you'll see your flake rate go up too.

Generally speaking if a guy's flake rate is below about 30% (as in less than 1 out of 3 girls flake), then it's usually an indicator that he's aiming way to low. I actually think 30% to 50% flake rate is the sweet spot, where you are dating girls on your level, but of course, if you are perfectly happy with the quality of girls you are getting, then it's great, and you're a lucky guy to be able to get girls you are really attracted to so easily.
