Yea man I do the same chit. I call it "living in the future". It sucks as much as living in the past. When there is a lot of big picture moves happening it's so hard to focus back into the reality of now. Chit seems mundane. I've been procrastinating like a mofo on a few things.

But fuk it we'll get it done. No need to beat yourself up about it, just pick it back up and get going step by step.

Team of 5, I'm the only one who is both a designer and a dev (didn't know this was a thing before I joined here, but the creative people don't do any of the gruntwork and vice-versa) Benefit of that though is I can pick & choose what projects I want to take on. Company has a 'compartmentalized business' app, that I'm hoping to get tasked to be a part of, the people who work at the app make 90k starting. When they hired me they said it was because of my app UI portfolio, so hopefully that's in the future.

What about you?

You know that ends up being the hardest part. Kind of dwelling over the time lost, but we still have the power to make the present what we want. Thanks for the level head brah, I needed to hear it.

They don't make me nauseous, I just hate heights so I keep my eyes closed the entire way going up the hill. Not to mention the fear of malfunction...which has happened and I had to hold my harness in place. Did you go to Varadero? Where did you stay?

Ahhh Friday!!

Been a busy week at work. Everyday literally work all day, home for an hour with the dog, then gym, and home and almost straight to bed

Enjoying Restaurant Week in Center City Philly tonight with the girlfriend. Going to have Greek food for the first time.

Hitting the ski slopes Saturday with a buddy.

Sunday possibly doing some side work with my dad then watching my Eagles kick some Viking butt

Stay safe and enjoy everyone

You left Miami? Was it for a dream job or something? My brother visited South Beach last year and he said it was like walking a music video set. True to life HBB'S everywhere.

I'm the only man on my team, and the only dev. a couple days ago, i had to tell my boss where the refresh button on chrome was. i work on an extremely chitty cms, and i have extremely limited freedom on what i can do without upsetting my coworkers

i get paid pretty well for what i do tho, and there's room to advance up in the company. tons of bonuses too, so i have very little to complain about really

side business is whipping up Wordpress sites so that the end user can update the site by themselves. easy as phuck to do (but a lot to do), very little code involved, but i keep getting calls ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Interesting. I feel like once I get into web dev I should learn WP as a side hustle. Easy money if you can get clients...

Greek food is amazing, have fun brah. Sorry but if the Eagles had Wentz they may win, but the Vikes are having a hometown superbowl run.

Hey B-blood. With each day that passes I feel more and more like I could have done more, meanwhile people who I was once close to but drifted apart for different reasons are having days out, going on holidays etc and seem carefree recently. Most of them upgraded their life in some way or another in 2017, meanwhile all my upgrades were work related. Not really where it counts in terms of happiness.

We've had some really nice days recently, but OTOH I've had flu for 2 weeks (it's a cough now) so I haven't been able to go running. That's a main source.of stress relief and happiness down the drain and to top it off I'm supposed to be getting my fitness up.

I need to organise my time better and procrastinate less if am to at least get out of this funk.

breh 1 thing that helps me is an "unschedule" which i learnt from doc neil fiore. schedule the things you want to do, say on saturday.
this include sleep n nap, food, chilaxing, shiiting showering everything. then look at the gaps and schedule 30 minute chunks of uninterrupted work. this has been goat for me cause i got these fukkin kids now.

i schedule the chit down to 15 min blocks. the anticipation of slamming beers or playing fornite DURING my work period makes it way more enjoyable, then when you get to ur leisure block, you can enjoy it much more guilt free than if you were phucking around before.

this is goat way to live for my sperg ass. the goal is to approach the mindless flow state during all activity, thus fully living in the moment. for me it's cool when my wife is doing it with me too- it adds to the experience. you can get hype for saturday chit on a thursday, while you are at work, you know.
do not read my posts and weep, i am not there i do not sleep

I feel that...That's really similar to what's happening around me. Then at the end of 2017 there were a ton of changes that I'm still trying to acclimate to. I think this year will be a really busy year, but prioritization is key. I too procrastinate, and don't organize my time very well, but I think it's because I know i'm a successful scrambler...I thrive in chaos. But I need to start grabbing the bull by the horns and leading from the get go. I hope you can shake that flu and get well soon brah.

it's tough right now because me and my wife are both cutting and we love two things, booze and food. so we gotta keep our brains occupied on other pleasure projects- specifically in our case crafting. my wife bought some old wingback fabric chairs and she stripped all the chiit off and is reupholstering them w canvas or some chit. she pretty good at sewing. im debating starting my home gym project. ima do horsemats on the floor and clean up all my bullshiit in there. it doubles as the junk room. mostly ima try not to think about beers and tito. prob game some.

That's the thing with Cuba...My wife has always wanted to take me, but the reviews are so hit and miss. It seems like unless you're staying at a brand spanking new resort you may be in for a headache.

That has to be hard both of you cutting at the same time. What type of crafting do you guys do? Just furniture refurb?

It must be something in the stars...We're gonna make it though. What's the deadline on your project, and how far are you along? That croissant sounds good AF though. It's hard to get your hands on a really good one though...Well in my neck of the woods anyway.

June 1st is the launch, April 1st is the "soft launch." It's during a tight deadline that the lazy gaffets are exposed from the workerbees.

There's a place that makes them but it's clear across town. They make this one that has scrambled egg, cheese and chilli. Another one has spinach and feta with some herbs. That's the one I want.
Thus let me live, unseen, unknown;
Thus unlamented let me die;
Steal from the world, and not a stone
Tell where I lie.

mostly furniture. i do some farmhouse type stuff, kitchen tables. done some shelving in our closet. as soon as it warms up some i can move to the yard. ima attempt to do something like a stone or waddle keyhole garden. my whole yard is treed and i get no fkn sunlight for a garden, so i think i can pick a choice spot and maybe get some maters goin.

i geek out on building my own cabin in the mountains, so i make and edit sketchup projects of cabins. i do struct engineering for my work, so i even put all the framing and chit.
do not read my posts and weep, i am not there i do not sleep
i am the thousand greens that rep, i am the ban bet dutifully kept
of memes and trolls in toasted breads, i am not there, i am not dead.
