Authentic Mexican food is disgusting (srs)

After living here for a few years and trying a bunch of authentic Mexican places with high ratings, I've come to the conclusion that Mexican food for the most part is disgusting. Low quality meat overseasoned to mask that it's low quality. The texture of the meat is always disgusting and fatty. The menus are made specifically for Mexican people only.

Sorry, but as someone who loves different foods from different cultures, I have to say that most Mexican food sucks and I'm all for cultural appropriation since Chipotle somehow STILL is better than 90% of authentic Mexican food I've had.

and neg all you want. The food is still gross. Why is the steak at Chipotle grilled and has a good texture while at Mexican places, I swear the meat tastes like it was boiled or something. It's fukking gross. I spent 8$ on a burrito from a popular mom and pop type Mexican place here and I threw half of my burrito out because it was that bad.

It really depends where you get it. A lot of authentic Mexican restaraunts are gross. You'd probably find a bone in your chicken taco at some of them with pieces of chicken membrane.

If you get them from the right place, they can be good but I find it's very rare to get really good authentic Mexican. The best authentic Mexican food I've had has always come from a truck and not a restaraunt.

You can't generalize like that, some Mom and Pop Mexican restaurants are exactly as you described, but some of them are exceptional, better than you can get at Del Taco or Taco Bell

I don't particularly like authentic Mexican either since it involves a lot of poverty meats but dat dere Texmex is completely different. Chipotle would be considered Texmex btw.
