Wow bodybuilding routines are much faster.

Brb,

Training for strength often means spending an hour doing the same movement. 3-6 reps, often 10+ sets and 5 minute breaks. Often it takes an hour and a half to finish a typical workout composed of two compound lifts.

For bodybuilding, the I just do 4x12 for three different exercises for the same body part, just a minute break. I can get chest and back in around the same time it takes to squat in a powerlifting routine.

Feelsgoodman, it's much more fast paced, I get to use more in the gym than a barbell and I feel more energized afterwards. I might stop powerlifting in favour of bodybuilding.

Not going to get bigger if you aren't eating enough, regardless of your program. What's your current weight?

You need to focus on eating. Routines aren't going to make a difference when you are 130lbs soaking wet. The exercise you should be focusing on is lifting a fork from the plate to your mouth.

Got that covered. 6 eggs and 5 cans of tuna a day, 4 cups of oats a day, along with any meals.

I'm 135 now, gonna aim for 155. Should take 2 months on this diet.

Might just be me but, I like to stay till the damage is done..

I've had session where I've hit the limit in 30mins and other days it's gone the full hour you know ?

I stopped counting workouts or sets.. just needed that burn and pump no matter the exercise.. some days specific workouts feel better than others. I've had days where I've done only 2 different workouts for that specific muscle in that one session only cause... well it just felt damn good..

( This is all nutrition aside - purely on the lifting side )

Nutrition tip:

Soak chicken breasts in water. Whilst raw, tape around desired muscle so the body can absorb the protein through the meat in raw state. Muscle bound protein intake.

Whilst I'm gonna go on a limb here and say keep things fresh..

Can you provide any link to support mercury poisoning caused by canned tuna. I know about mercury poisoning but really besides this whole " too much canned tuna is bad " nobody can really offer any solid links or sourced that can show one case of someone being diagnosed with mercury poisoning. I've searched the web a few times and to no avail.

On the flip side if OP has canned tuna as opposed to something worse then so be it.. much as we all like to walk the straight line 24/7 claiming we do it all by the books.. there's been plenty times due to pure laziness I've just had a week of boiled eggs and canned tuna..

Meh.. rant over

Some people take the idea of "it could be bad for you in large amounts" to mean "stay away from it." From that perspective, I fully agree with you that tuna shouldn't be avoided. It should just be avoided in large quantities. I'd consider 5 cans a day to be in that territory. Not to confuse that with 5 cans IN a day. That's totally different. But hammering your body with that much tuna every single day doesn't sound like a good idea.

A different routine isn't gonna do much breh, you gotta have a large caloric surplus to bulk up. I'm tryna reach 200 and the hardest thing for me is not the training, but cooking and eating close to 3500 cals everyday.

Edit: Just read your post about the diet

I'm gonna gain weight.

Tbh I'm really worried of looking like an overcompensating manlet once I gain weight. That's why I didn't eat much to begin with.

Anyways it must be done.

It's like you tapped into my head and stole the point I was trying to make or you secretly answered questions I didn't know I wanted answers to lol.

I think it's just lack of knowledge and common misconception that adds to the ignorance..

There's been times where on the go I've taken 6 or so boiled eggs to work as a meal replacement.. Keeping in mind I've probably not touched eggs the whole week. Some know it all in the office " oh that much eggs young man, high cholesterol bla bla " - everyone else in the office is instantly sold on the concept that 5 or so eggs = death. Hereby this ripple effect starts to take place where people claim it's bad without knowing the foundation as to why so.
