Anyone can sell their btc for 10,000 usdt. In turn that 10,000 usdt can buy one btc.

Therefore, one usdt has the same value as one usd.

Now imagine if you could create a usdt out of nothing. You could create a demand on the market out of nothing...

If it went pop tomorrow, not only would holders of usdt be wiped out, but the market would lose that 2b of buying pressure on the crypto market.

Ie there are traders in usdt right now with buy orders of 9500, 8500 etc.

Tether goes poof, so do those buy orders.
