Not bad coins for sure, id say that's a bit too lightly spread I'd choose 3 or 4, good choices to split into are ADA, VEN, WTC, ICX, XLM and I'd say if you're dropping $300 it's better spent on ETH > BTC

Something like this
$250 eth
$250 ada
$250 ven
$250 xlm

Your call ultimately, just what I'd do personally

If all you had was 1k$ to invest I would go all in on an ico and sell that on opening day to reinvest into 3-4 more icos, repeat till you have 30k then think about taking positions.

Diversification is only good if you have atleast a medium sized stack
